Martin D. in Lansing, IA has a two-story home with a walk-in basement built into a steep hillside. His home was built right next to the Mississippi River. They have had problems with their basement flooding for several years, especially during heavy rains. They were tired of dealing with a wet basement, so they contacted American Waterworks to receive a FREE estimate. One of our Design Specialists, Mike Radosevich, went to the home to inspect the basement and provide them with the right solution. After meeting with Mike, Martin felt confident in our company and our products, so he chose to have our waterproofing system installed. 

Our Foreman, Hugo Sanchez, and his crew installed our WaterGuard drainage system around the perimeter of the basement floor, a TripleSafe sump pump in the corner, and a SaniDry dehumidifier, which keeps the humidity in the basement under control. The drainage system guides water to the sump pump, and from there the water is expelled from the home through the discharge line. Martin is happy with the outcome and has been able to enjoy a dry, healthier basement since the installation!

A customer from Lansing, IA got in contact with us when they began to fear that their home may be inhibited by Radon, a colorless, odorless, naturally occurring gas that comes from the breakdown and decay of the soil that surrounds the foundation of the home. When our customer called in, we set them up with a FREE no-obligation estimate. Our Design Specialist, Jarrett, headed out to the property to see what could be done. He began by performing a 48-hour charcoal test, which he left behind to monitor the levels of Radon in the home. Once completed, the home was found to have unsafe levels of Radon. Jarrett recommended the installation of a Radon mitigation system and the couple agreed.

Bob W. of Luana, IA had water leaking through the floor of his basement, causing him to worry about damage to property and his downstairs bathroom. He got in contact with our office staff and scheduled a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist. Our Design Specialist went to his home, carefully inspected his water leaks, and drew up a solution that worked for him and his home repair needs. Our Foreman and his production team began the project by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System, which prevents water clogs, serves as an underground drain, and collects water leakage from basement walls. Next, our team broke out half of the wall around the entire basement wall perimeter and installed our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier, which prevents the build-up of mold and mildew, covers any holes or divots, and serves as a protective blanket, while also saving money on energy bills. To complete the project, our team filled the open floor gaps with river rock and applied new concrete over them. Paul W. is the owner of this newly built home in Chaseburg, WI. During the construction, the contractor realized that Paul needed to have a waterproofing system installed because of the amount of water that was entering the home through the basement. Once the water drains to the sump pump, it is then pumped through the discharge line and expelled from the home. They also installed a perimeter of our CleanSpace vapor barrier to reduce moisture and humidity. CleanSpace also makes the basement a more energy efficient space. After we finished the installation of our waterproofing system, the construction team poured concrete and continued the development of the home.
