A homeowner in Plainview, MN, noticed that her current sump pump is out of date and unable to properly eject water during heavy storms. In a couple of weeks, our Design Specialist, Darin S., arrived at the home to provide a thorough inspection, answer any questions, and provide the best solution for the homeowner. During the inspection, Darin ran a few tests with the sump pump system and confirmed that it is broken. Darin then recommended our SuperSump+, which is capable of removing 2,200 gallons of water, and IceGuard, an anti-freeze discharge line that allows water to leave in case the sump pump pipes freeze. After looking over the proposal, the homeowner happily agreed with Darin's suggestions, and his design was sent to our Foreman, Diego B.

In a couple of months, Diego and his crew arrived to install our SuperSump+ and 2 IceGuards. The installation was a complete success, and the crew ensured it was working properly before cleaning up and leaving the home.

Richard R. in Floyd, IA had water leaking into his basement. He started searching for waterproofing contractors and he found the American Waterworks website. He was glad to see that we are waterproofing experts, so he contacted us for a FREE estimate. One of our Design Specialists, Mike Radosevich, went to his home to inspect his basement and design a solution. Mike developed a waterproofing plan that best fit Richard’s needs, so Richard scheduled the installation.

Our production team started the installation process by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor. They laid a partial perimeter of our WaterGuard drainage system around the basement floor. Then, they installed our SuperSump sump pump and filled the void around the sump pump and WaterGuard with rock. Lastly, they replaced the concrete over the WaterGuard and around the sump pump. The drainage system now properly drains water to the sump pump, and from there the water is pushed through the discharge line and expelled from the home. Richard can rest easy knowing that water will no longer be in his basement. He is glad he chose to invest in protecting his home for years to come.

Roxy C. of Dumont, IA had water leaking in the corner of her basement, causing her to feel uncomfortable in her own home. She found American Waterworks in the newspaper, so she decided to give us a call to set up a FREE Estimate. Our Design Specialist went to her home to inspect the problem and come up with a solution. Roxy was comfortable with the proposal so she scheduled an installation date. 

Our Foreman, Edgar Miranda, and his production team began the installation by breaking out the concrete in the corner of the basement and installing our SuperSump Plus M53 Sump Pump. Edgar and his grew covered the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. Roxy had a great experience from start to finish, and no longer has to worry about water leaks! 

Barbara B in Eyota, MN learned about the dangers of radon gas. She had not yet had her home tested and once she learned that radon causes 15% of the world's lung cancer cases and kills over 20,000 people each year, she wanted to get her home tested right away.

She contacted American Waterworks and we sent our Design Specialist, Dustin Loftus, to her home to set up a radon test kit. The results showed that she did have high levels of radon and we recommended that we install a radon mitigation system to ensure that the majority of the radon entering her home would be sucked through a PVC pipe and discharged from her home. 

Our crew drilled a hole through the floor in the basement to insert a PVC pipe and create a suction point for the radon gas. Then the gas is vented through the pipe and out of the home. A fan is also installed at the top of the PVC pipe where the gas is vented out to ensure that the gas is pushed away from the home. Barbara now has peace of mind knowing that her family is protected from this dangerous gas.

Our Foreman, Sam, and his crew members injected our PolyLevel underneath the concrete to lift and level the slab.
