Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

For a few months, a Viroqua, MN, homeowner had noticed a strange odor wafting through his home. Try as he might, he could not locate the source of the odor. One night it occurred to the homeowner that the odor might be coming from the crawl space beneath his home. Worried that it might be a deceased pest, he quickly began looking into crawl space repairs near Viroqua, WI. When he found our website, he signed up for his FREE estimate. Several weeks later, Ross J, one of our Design Specialists, was headed out to the home. When Ross arrived, he wasted no time getting down into the crawl space to see what the issue was. It works to catch water entering through small holes and cracks in the wall, directing it downward and into our drainage matting, dimpled matting that provides a channel for water to flow to a disposal site, keeping it off the floor and properly draining the crawl space of water. Finally, Ross recommended our SmartDrain, a useful device that alerts homeowners to a leak with an audible alarm, and drains the water away to a drywell under the CleanSpace liner to protect against property damange. We were contacted by a customer inquiring about sealing his crawl space before he and his wife began the process of selling their house. Our Design Specialist went out to the property and recommend the customer invest in the purchase of a sump pump, our CleanSpace waterproofing encapsulation, and drainage floor matting along the entire floor of the crawl space. Our North Dakota-based Foreman, Cameron, installed the required fixes immediately. The combination of these three products will ensure that the customer's crawl space will stay nice and dry and will be sure to be a qualified candidate for potential new owners!

Cameron, from Epping, ND got in contact with us when he began to notice a musty smell and humid air radiating from his crawl space beneath the home. When he called our office, we set him up with our FREE estimate, and a few weeks later our Design Specialist, Ian, headed out to the property to assess the situation. After he completed his walkthrough, he informed Cameron that excess water was entering the space through cracks and holes in the foundation. He also assessed the relative humidity (RH) of the space was measured at 57.34%, and informed Cameron that we recommend taking action at any RH level above 55%. Ian also made some recommendations as to how we could help fix the issue. First, Ian recommended our drainage matting; a dimpled matting that gets installed onto the floor of the crawl space, giving any excess water a route to flow through the space and be disposed of at an external site such as a drain or a sump system. Ian's second recommendation was our CleanSpace vapor barrier, a 100% waterproof tarp that works to trap any excess moisture in the space, redirecting it to the appropriate disposal site. Our customer agreed with the recommendations and work began shortly after. 

Our Foreman, Kevin, and his team ended up installing 1372 sqft of the CleanSpace and another 1,296 sqft of drainage matting in the crawl space. Now our customer can enjoy his space without worrying about water intrusion!
