Damp Crawl Space Saved in Eau Claire, WI

A homeowner from Eau Claire, WI, was walking across her main level one day when she noticed that a portion of the floor was much colder than the rest. It occurred to her that this cold space was directly above the crawl space of the home. She began to scour the internet for local crawl space repair companies and crawl space technicians in the area and quickly found our website. She was impressed with our previous crawl space liner installation photos and decided to schedule her FREE estimate. Several weeks later, one of our Design Specialist, Chuck H, was headed out to the home.

When Chuck arrived, he wasted no time getting down into the crawl space to see what could be causing the problem. When he was finished with his inspection, he met with the homeowners to discuss his findings and the next steps in the process. Chuck first wanted to address the energy inefficiency of the space, stating that crawl space insulation is of the utmost importance, as many comfort and energy problems are caused by inadequate or incorrect crawl space insulation. Chuck's first recommendation, TerraBlockwas developed to meet the challenge of insulating rough, uneven crawl space floors, and can be combined with other products to maximize the space's efficiency. Second, Chuck wanted to use our  Foamax wall panels. Foamax is a polyisocyanurate foam insulation panel with a white foil finish on the front and a foil vapor barrier on the back. Insulating your basement walls with Foamax provides comfort and energy bill savings while making your walls look clean and bright. Foamax is an advanced foam insulation panel that reduces condensation for exceptional moisture protection. Then,  Chuck informed the homeowner that he found significant evidence of water intrusion in the crawl space. He explained that this could lead to mold, mildew, wood rot, and a plethora of other airborne allergens. For this reason, Chuck went on and recommended our CleanSpace vapor barrier, a 100% waterproof tarp-like material that gets installed directly to the walls of the crawl space and works to collect water entering through cracks and holes in the foundation downward and keeping it off the floor. To complement this product, Chuck wanted to use our drainage matting, a dimpled mat that goes down on the crawl space floor before the CleanSpace, providing entering the water a channel to flow to the appropriate disposal site. The homeowner was thrilled with Chuck's comprehensive approach to the problem and signed on the spot.

The project day rolled around several weeks later. Our Foreman, Jesus R, was able to lead his team through a flawlessly executed installation of  1372sqft of CleanSpace, 1170 sqft of drainage matting, 1170 sqft of TerraBlock, and another 600 sqft of Foamax. Now, our customer can walk across a nice warm floor with the confidence that her crawl space is properly sealed and saving her money!

Unhealthy Crawl Space Gets a Makeover in Eau Claire, WI

A homeowner from Eau Claire, WI, was doing a routine check on the crawl space beneath his home. When he headed into the space, he found that the crawl space was drafty, making it very cold. It suddenly occurred to him that the faulty space could be the culprit behind his cold floors each morning. After finding our website via an internet search, he signed up for his FREE estimate.

Several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Darin S, headed out to the home.

Darin wasted no time getting down in the crawl space. When he finished, he was ready to make his recommendations. First, Darin recommended our  CleanSpace vapor barrier. This 100% waterproof tarp-like material gets installed directly to the walls of the crawl space and serves as a barrier between the harsh conditions outdoors and the crawl space. Darin then said that while he was in the crawl space, he observed some concerning attributes in the wooden beams. He explained that one of the beams providing mid-span support was showing signs of bending, which could lead to troubles with the floors above. Darin was concerned enough that he recommended our crawl space SmartJacksThe SmartJack Crawl Space Stabilizer is an adjustable supplemental support system used for sagging crawl spaces. It not only provides supplemental support to your failing structure -- it can also often lift failing floor joists or beams, restoring them to their original position. The homeowner was thankful for Darin's transparency and honesty and decided to schedule her project for some time later.

On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Francisco E, led his team through the successful installation of 570 sqft of CleanSpace, and 3 of our SmartJacks. Now, our customer can comfortably enjoy his home, knowing the foundation is as sturdy as ever!

Crawl Space Waterproofing in Strum, WI

Joe E. of Strum, WI had water leaking into his crawl space, causing mold and water moisture problems. He saw an American Waterworks commercial on television regarding crawl space waterproofing, so he called our office line and scheduled a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Dustin Loftus. Dustin went to his home, inspected his crawl space, and came up with a solution that fit his needs. He was confident in Dustin's proposal, so he went ahead with the project.

Our Foreman, Raul Barroso, and his production team began the project by installing 2,175 square feet of drainage matting. The purpose for the drainage matting is to provide extra durability and larger drain channels to handle the job. It directs the water that is flooding the crawl space to the perimeter crawl space drain and the sump pump system. Next, our team installed 3,011 square feet of our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier to encapsulate the crawl space. This moisture barrier is the most crucial component of crawl space waterproofing. By sealing the crawl space, homeowners keep away odors, termites, cockroaches, ants, crickets, rats, and many other pests.

Joe was very satisfied with the repairs and could not believe the transformation!

Will presented his proposal to the homeowners and they decided to go along with the plan. Next, Will passed the proposal to our Logistics team to build and schedule the project. Our Logistics team scheduled the project for the following weeks. Once the project date arrived, our Foreman, Lane, and his crew traveled to the home to begin the installation. First, Lane and his crew made sure the space was cleared for the installation. Next, Lane and his crew installed Drainage Matting on the basement floor. Once the Drainage Matting was secured, Lane and his team attached CleanSpace to the crawl space walls and floors. Finally, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home.
