Tim K. in Holmen, WI was experiencing a damp crawl space. He was concerned about the potential damage and health problems that having a wet crawl space could cause, so he started researching contractors would could waterproof his crawl space. He came across American Waterworks on the internet and decided to call us for a free estimate. Design Specialist, Mac Cole, went onsite to develop the best waterproofing plan to fit Tim's needs.
Our Foreman, Jesus Covarrubias, and his crew installed drainage matting, SilverGlo, TerraBlock, CleanSpace and spray foam rim joist insulation to ensure that his crawl space was completely sealed and water would no longer be able to seep into that space. He was pleased with how his crawl space had been transformed.
Charlene T. in Ferryville, WI came across our booth at the Midwest Farm Show in La Crosse, WI. She was concerned about the moisture in her dirt-floor crawl space. She felt like she was losing energy from that space, so she spoke with our Design Specialist, Dylan Woitas, who was at the show and learned about our crawl space encapsulation services. Dylan set up an appointment with Charlene and went to her home to evaluate the situation and design the best solution.
Our Foreman, Kiko Pena, and his production team installed a full perimeter of rim joist insulation which seals the rim joists and lowers Charlene’s energy costs. They also installed our crawl space vapor barrier which protects the space from moisture and potential mold growth. The combination of these encapsulation products turned the crawl space into a dry, clean and energy efficient part of the house. The process took a couple of days to complete, but Charlene now has a bright, clean and healthy crawl space and is saving money on her energy bill each month.

A homeowner from Eau Claire, WI, was walking across her main level one day when she noticed that a portion of the floor was much colder than the rest. It occurred to her that this cold space was directly above the crawl space of the home. She began to scour the internet for local crawl space repair companies and crawl space technicians in the area and quickly found our website. She was impressed with our previous crawl space liner installation photos and decided to schedule her FREE estimate. Several weeks later, one of our Design Specialist, Chuck H, was headed out to the home.
When Chuck arrived, he wasted no time getting down into the crawl space to see what could be causing the problem. When he was finished with his inspection, he met with the homeowners to discuss his findings and the next steps in the process. Chuck first wanted to address the energy inefficiency of the space, stating that crawl space insulation is of the utmost importance, as many comfort and energy problems are caused by inadequate or incorrect crawl space insulation. Chuck's first recommendation, TerraBlock, was developed to meet the challenge of insulating rough, uneven crawl space floors, and can be combined with other products to maximize the space's efficiency. Second, Chuck wanted to use our Foamax wall panels. Foamax is a polyisocyanurate foam insulation panel with a white foil finish on the front and a foil vapor barrier on the back. Insulating your basement walls with Foamax provides comfort and energy bill savings while making your walls look clean and bright. Foamax is an advanced foam insulation panel that reduces condensation for exceptional moisture protection. Then, Chuck informed the homeowner that he found significant evidence of water intrusion in the crawl space. He explained that this could lead to mold, mildew, wood rot, and a plethora of other airborne allergens. For this reason, Chuck went on and recommended our CleanSpace vapor barrier, a 100% waterproof tarp-like material that gets installed directly to the walls of the crawl space and works to collect water entering through cracks and holes in the foundation downward and keeping it off the floor. To complement this product, Chuck wanted to use our drainage matting, a dimpled mat that goes down on the crawl space floor before the CleanSpace, providing entering the water a channel to flow to the appropriate disposal site. The homeowner was thrilled with Chuck's comprehensive approach to the problem and signed on the spot.
The project day rolled around several weeks later. Our Foreman, Jesus R, was able to lead his team through a flawlessly executed installation of 1372sqft of CleanSpace, 1170 sqft of drainage matting, 1170 sqft of TerraBlock, and another 600 sqft of Foamax. Now, our customer can walk across a nice warm floor with the confidence that her crawl space is properly sealed and saving her money!
A homeowner in Eau Claire, WI, noticed their home was uncomfortably cold. After further investigation, the homeowner determined that the source of the chill was the crawl space. Worried that this could lead to more serious issues, the homeowner knew they needed to find an expert to provide a proper solution. The homeowner looked into "crawl space repair company Eau Claire, WI". One of the first companies to grab their attention was us, American Waterworks, so the homeowner decided to go ahead and sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeonwer prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist, Mac. A few days later, Mac promptly arrived at the home and began the thorough inspection of the crawl space. Once he completed the inspection, Mac confirmed the basement needed to be fully encapsulated. The homeowner agreed and worked with Mac to find the best installation date. When the installation date arrived, our Foreman, Kevin, and his crew traveled to the home to begin the project. First, Kevin and his crew cleaned the rubble out of the crawl space. Then, they went ahead and secured Drainage Matting on the crawl space floor. After the Drainage Matting was secured, the crew shifted to attaching CleanSpace to the unfinished crawl space walls and floor. Once all the products were secured, the crew cleaned up their matierals and left the home. The homeowner was delighted with the excellent work completed by the crew. American Waterworks is delighted to provide its customers peace of mind, knowing their crawl space was properly encapsulated.
A homeowner from Eau Claire, WI, was doing a routine check on the crawl space beneath his home. When he headed into the space, he found that the crawl space was drafty, making it very cold. It suddenly occurred to him that the faulty space could be the culprit behind his cold floors each morning. After finding our website via an internet search, he signed up for his FREE estimate.
Several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Darin S, headed out to the home.
Darin wasted no time getting down in the crawl space. When he finished, he was ready to make his recommendations. First, Darin recommended our CleanSpace vapor barrier. This 100% waterproof tarp-like material gets installed directly to the walls of the crawl space and serves as a barrier between the harsh conditions outdoors and the crawl space. Darin then said that while he was in the crawl space, he observed some concerning attributes in the wooden beams. He explained that one of the beams providing mid-span support was showing signs of bending, which could lead to troubles with the floors above. Darin was concerned enough that he recommended our crawl space SmartJacks. The SmartJack Crawl Space Stabilizer is an adjustable supplemental support system used for sagging crawl spaces. It not only provides supplemental support to your failing structure -- it can also often lift failing floor joists or beams, restoring them to their original position. The homeowner was thankful for Darin's transparency and honesty and decided to schedule her project for some time later.
On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Francisco E, led his team through the successful installation of 570 sqft of CleanSpace, and 3 of our SmartJacks. Now, our customer can comfortably enjoy his home, knowing the foundation is as sturdy as ever!
