Doyle H. of Buxton, ND was looking to get work done in his crawl space and wanted it leveled. He saw an American Waterworks foundation repair commercial on television, so he called our office line and got a FREE estimate set up with our Design Specialist, Ian Schultz. Ian went to Doyle's home to inspect the crawl space and determine a solution that would work for him. Ian proposed our SmartJack System which provides solid support for sagging and undersized beams. Doyle was confident in the product and its warranty, so he went ahead with the project and got a date scheduled for the installation.
Our Foreman, Ryan Loe, installed two of our SmartJacks in the crawl space to restore the stability and straightness of the sagging floor joists. Because of its design, it can be adjusted by the homeowner over time to ensure proper stability. Doyle was happy with the work and was thankful we could help him!

A homeowner in Buxton, ND, noticed their stairs were sinking due to settlement. Concerned this could turn into a major tripping hazard, the homeowner looked into "sinking concrete repair near me". One of the first companies to grab their attention was us, American Waterworks, so the homeowner took a closer look at our services. Impressed with our near five-star reviews, the homeowner knew we were the ideal choice for their project. The homeowner called our Appointment Center and decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist, James. A few days later, James traveled to the home to begin the detailed inspection of the concrete. During the inspection, James determined that the driveway, walkway, and stairs were sinking due to settlement. To prevent these issues from continuing, James recommended lifting and leveling the sidewalk back to its original position. Knowing this was the best plan of action, the homeowner agreed and worked with the homeowner to find the best installation date. When the project date arrived, our Foreman, Charlie, and his crew traveled to the home to begin. First, Charlie and his crew started by installing PolyLevel, a polyurethane foam injection solution. After the PolyLevel was injected, the crew shifted to repairing the cracks and joints with NexusPro, a silicone-based solution. As soon as all the products were secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was grateful for the excellent work completed by the crew. Larry, a homeowner in Langdon, ND, was growing more concerned about his wet crawl space. If a crawl space begins to rot, grow mold, or experience structural problems, issues can extend to all parts of the home. He wanted to understand why it was happening, ensure the issue was corrected, and restore peace of mind moving forward. After deciding on our company, we set Larry up with a FREE inspection. A few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Kole, headed out to the property. Once he completed his walkthrough, he made recommendations as to how American Waterworks could help. Our customer agreed with the recommendations, and work began shortly after.
First, under the direction of one of our Fargo Foremen the team removed the insulation currently in the crawlspace. Then, after cleaning the space, they went ahead with installing Foamax insulated wall panels and spray foam around the rim joists. The Foamax provides comfort and energy bill savings, while making the walls look clean and bright. The spray foam seals and waterproofs the homeowner's crawl space. The crew proceeded to use CleanSpace to encapsulate the crawlspace to prevent moisture and mold from affecting the rest of the foundation. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic barrier that gets installed right onto the problem walls and works to catch water entering the space through cracks and holes in the wall. This also reduces the home's chances of being exposed to radon. Next the crew used drainage matting and CleanSpace to encapsulate the entire space.
They also installed our Smart Sump where the existing sump was, and created a discharge line out the south end of the home. The SmartSump™ comes equipped with a cast-iron Zoeller® primary pump with the option of adding an UltraSump® Battery Backup Sump Pump. This sump pump is designed to fit with the CleanSpace® liner and has a sump alarm to ensure you always are aware of any water in your crawl space.
Larry was so pleased and happy with the crew and couldn't say enough about the team's great work!
Jeri H. in Lakota, IA was concerned about her bowing basement walls. She contacted American Waterworks after she was referred by a friend, and we sent one of our Design Specialists, Dylan Woitas, to meet with her. Dylan evaluated the situation and proposed a solution for her home. Jeri approved of the design and moved forward with an installation date.
Our Foreman, Jesus Covarrubias, and his production crew were able to successfully stabilize the bowing foundation wall with 6 PowerBraces. The PowerBraces halted further deterioration of the wall, and over time, can be tightened to make the wall straighter and more vertical. Jeri was pleased with the installation and her peace of mind has been restored!

The foundation of this home was bowing and showing significant signs of inward movement. American Waterworks installed Geo-Lock Wall Anchors along the bowing walls, and used the system's clamping pressure to stabilize and restore the wall.
