Brian K. of Cosmos, MN had cracked foundation walls in his basement, causing him to worry about the structural build and stability of his home. He called our office line and scheduled an estimate with our Design Specialist, Shane Nephew. Shane went to his home, inspected his problem, and came up with a solution that worked for him. Brian got all of his questions answered and felt confident in Shane's proposal of our GeoLock Wall Anchor System, so he moved forward with the project. 

Our Foreman, Juan Pena, and his production team began the project by digging 16 small holes around the house beyond the foundation. Our team inserted a long, medal rod from the inside of the basement, through the foundation wall, to each hole outside of the home. At the end of each rod outside, Juan and his crew screwed on and tightened an anchor plate, which holds it in place in the soil. Then, our team screwed on and tightened a GeoLock Wall Anchor to the end of each rod inside of the home, stabilizing and straightening the foundation wall. To complete the project, our team backfilled each hole, compacted the soil, and made sure the yard looked neater than when they found it. Brian was impressed with the labor and work involved, and was happy with the repairs that were made!

Following the test, the results were 8pCi/l, alarmingly high. After sharing these results with the homeowner, Kevin recommended that a radon mitigation system be installed on the home. The homeowner immediately agreed and the plans were sent to the assigned crew. Our Foreman, Dakota, and his crew traveled to the home to install the radon mitigation system on the home. After reviewing Kevin's plans, the crew placed the radon mitigation system on the side on the west side of the home. Once the radon system was successfully installed on the side of the home, the crew cleaned up their materials and left. He knew of our Design Specialist, Richie, so he discussed his issues with him.
