A homeowner in Mandan, ND was worried about his unfinished basement the morning after they had some heavy rain. Sure enough, when he went downstairs to check on it, he found some water damage to the base of the walls and the floors. Not wanting the problem to get worse if he left it alone, he went online determined to find a solution. He searched for "wet basement repair near me" online and sifted through the search results of companies in his area. The American Waterworks company name stood out to him because of our positive customer reviews and FREE estimate appointments. On the day of the estimate, our Design Specialist, Ian Schultz, went to the home to inspect the basement and see what repairs we could do. Ian explained that our WaterGuard basement drain system would prevent future water from entering the basement space again and our CleanSpace wall vapor barrier would brighten up the space and provide extra protection. One of our Foremen and his crew later went out to the site and carried out the installation of the two products. The homeowner was very happy with the results and thanked our crew for their hard work.

Erin and Tyrel, owners of a building space in Hazen, ND, were looking to both restore and refresh the basement space in order to use it as storage and potential office spaces. However, the basement was full of water damage, musty smells, and moisture intrusion, and they needed help. The pair decided to claim their FREE inspection. Our Design Specialist, Ian, headed out to the property. Once he completed his walkthrough, he made recommendations as to how American Waterworks could help. Our customer agreed with the recommendations, and work began shortly after.
Foreman Jesus and his crew prepped the walls and installed our full perimeter system. Then, they added our WaterGuard system. This particular system is typically used in basements and is the premier choice for basement waterproofing. It is installed below the floor, but rests atop the foundation, keeping it out of the "mud zone", making it harder to clog. It works to trap water and sends it to an appropriate disposal site, which is typically a sump pump. So, our crew Inserted our SuperSump® Premier Pump System into the southeast corner of the space. It is engineered to help keep the basement dry and healthy for extended periods, even during heavy water intrusion. The SuperSump® includes a powerful Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower cast-iron sump pump, capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour at an 8-foot head out of your basement. They then proceeded to use CleanSpace to encapsulate the basement to prevent moisture and mold to affect the rest of the foundation. Finally, our team added an Aprilaire dehumidifier, which creates healthy air and can reduce the number of viable viruses in the air to less than 1% in two days when set to 50% relative humidity. The customers were happy with the results and looking forward to utilizing the space.
A homeowner in Hazen, ND, grew concerned after discovering their foundation was unstable and falling apart. Worried about the long-term effects, the homeowner knew they needed professional help and fast. After looking into "foundation repair in North Dakota", their eye was caught by our website. After taking a closer look, the homeowner knew we were the best company for them. Since they were already on the website, they signed up for their FREE estimate. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Kole, to the home to take a closer look at the struggling walls. After his inspection, Kole determined the foundation walls were showing signs of wall failure and needed to be repaired. Additionally, he recommended installing several waterproofing products in the home. Knowing this was their best option, the homeowner decided to go ahead and begin the installation. Kole sent the plans to our office to be approved, then they were sent to our Foreman, Aaron, and his crew. After they received the plans, Aaron and his crew traveled to the home and started by installing PowerBraces on the walls. Once the PowerBraces were secured, the crew secured the WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement. Next, the crew took out the old sump pump and replaced it with the TripleSafe. The crew wrapped up the project by installing CleanSpace on the basement walls. Once everything was installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was delighted with the excellent work completed by the crew. American Waterworks is happy to install the best waterproofing and foundation products in their customers' homes.
Alisha, a homeowner in Stanton, ND, was searching for assistance with her basement issues. Groundwater was leaking through the cement floors and cinder block walls; the water stayed close to the foundation and saturated the area. She thought that our team could help with possible solutions, from sump pumps to sealing the block, so she called for FREE estimate. Our Design Specialist, Richie, traveled to his home to take a look around. Once he completed his walkthrough, he was ready to recommend a plan to transform the basement into a healthy, clean space.
Dylan, our Foreman, headed out to the house with his crew and got to work. First, they created a full-perimeter WaterGuard System with a lateral feed line where issues were present. Our WaterGuard is a patented below-floor drain that rests in a drainage bed on top of the foundation footing. It is our most commonly used drain system because of its resistance to water clogs, easy-to-access service ports, and ability to collect leaking water from basement walls. To complete the WaterGuard project, our team covered the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. The crew then added a half-wall of our CleanSpace to encapsulate the basement to prevent moisture and mold from affecting the rest of the foundation. Then, our crew inserted our SuperSump® Premier Pump System. To direct water away from the home's foundation so that it would not leak back into the basement, the team added a 30-foot discharge line from the West end of the basement. Furthermore, American Waterworks can help prevent wintertime freeze-up of discharge lines. We installed the patented IceGuard® system, an anti-freeze fitting that is installed outside of the home and ejects water away from the foundation if the sump pump discharge lines freeze or become clogged. Once the job was done, our customer was happy to know that her basement had been transformed, and she no longer had to worry about water intrusion!
A homeowner in Bismarck ND, noticed their driveway was beginning to lower. Unsure of the cause, the homeowner wanted to find professional answers. Once they saw our impressive Better Business Bureau rating, they knew American Waterworks was the company for them. They signed up for their FREE estimate and waited for the arrival of one of our Design Specialists, James. After James arrived at the home, he began a thorough walkthrough of the home and surrounding concrete. Once he completed his walk-through, James determined that the sidewalk was sinking due to soil settlement. To stop the sinking from continuing, James recommended lifting the entire driveway. The homeowner agreed with James' recommendations and the plans were sent to the office for approval. After they were approved, the plans were sent to our Foreman, Charlie, and his crew. Charlie and his crew made their way to the property and began the lift. To lift the driveway, the crew utilized PolyLevel, a polyurethane foam injection solution. Once the crew successfully lifted the driveway, they cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was in awe of the process and impressed by the crew. American Waterworks is happy to lift and level uneven and sunken driveways.
