After taking a closer look, Kole determined there was too much moisture in the crawl space and the insulation became wet, adding to the weight of the insulation. Kole was able to suggest a solution to the homeowner and they agreed. Next, Kole sent the plans to the office and our Foreman, Roel, and his crew. Roel and his crew traveled to the home to begin the project. First, Roel and his crew began by taking out all the old insulation and clearing out the debris. Once the debris was cleared, Roel and his crew were able to lay the Drainage Matting down. Once the Drainage Matting was laid, the crew shifted their focus to installing CleanSpace on the basement floor and an inch up the foundation walls. Roel and his crew successfully encapsulated the entire crawl space, so they cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was thankful for the excellent work completed by the crew. Worried about their radon levels, the homeowner began searching for radon mitigation services near them. Our Design Specialist, Ian, determined that the water was entering through the bottom of an egress window installed by another company. Ian recommended she install a Rockwell window replacement in addition to a window well duct drain to drain any seepage. Our Foreman, Cameron, and his crew went out to complete the installs and now the homeowner can enjoy her basement amenities with no worries of pooling water!

Our Foreman, Ryan, and his production team began the project by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter with a jackhammer, making a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain which is the most common interior drainage system that we provide for homeowners. It has easily accessible service ports, prevents water and mud clogs, and it collects water waste from basement walls. Next, our crew installed our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier around the basement wall perimeter, which prevents mold and mildew, covers holes and divots in the walls, and gives the basement a neat, fresh appearance. To complete the work, our crew filled the open gaps in the floor with river rock and applied new concrete over them, ensuring the space looked neater than when they found it.

Tracy from Bismarck, MN was experiencing some problems in her home. Her floor in her living room was sinking into the basement and felt a rippling motion throughout the house whenever there was movement. Tracy was concerned about the foundation of her home and contacted the Appointment Center here at American Waterworks to claim her FREE estimate. This entitles Tracy to a free home inspection. Once the appointment was set, our Design Special then attended to Tracy's property and began a thorough home inspection to properly diagnose the house and propose a proper solution that would help solve the issue and prevent other issues from arising. Our Design Specialist proposed to Tracy to invest in our SmartJack system. Our SmartJack system is made to provide support for oversized or sagging beams, restoring stability and straightness. Tracy agreed and scheduled an appointment for installation 

Our Foreman and the production team then installed five of our SmartJacks along the support beam of the home. Before installing the SmartJack, the production team dug a hole two feet deep. Then they backfilled the hole with engineer fill which is designed to dissipate the amount of force the SmartJack is experiencing. Once the SmartJack was set the team proceeded to use CleanSpace to encapsulate the crawlspace to prevent moisture and mold to affect the rest of the foundation. Tracy was thrilled and impressed with the project from start to finish!
