Our Design Specialist, Mitch S., arrived at the home on the scheduled date and conducted a thorough inspection of the back porch. He explained to the homeowner that one of the common causes of a sinking porch is soil compacting and settling. When a soil's load-bearing capacity exceeds, it causes the support soil beneath the concrete slab to expand and contract. This eventually leads to concrete sinking and, in most cases, cracks forming in one or more parts of the slab. To fix this issue, Mitch recommended our PolyLevel to lift the concrete and NexusPro to seal the cracks and joints. In about a month, Jordan and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. They began lifting the concrete by drilling small holes into the slab and installing the injection ports. PolyLevel is then injected beneath the slab, causing it to lift. Once it has been lifted, the crew ensures it is leveled before sealing the holes with concrete. Lastly, the crew uses NexusPro to seal the cracks and joints. Both PolyLevel and NexusPro are long-lasting with high durability. Once the crew was done with the installations, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.

Next, our team installed our DryTrak Drain Pipe System, which is permanently installed above the floor. Our crew drilled a weep hole through each foundation block to enable the water to pour through the holes and into the drain pipe. The installation only took one day and Matt was happy with the work that was completed!

Our Foreman and his production team began the project by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter with a jackhammer. Our team formed a trench and installed our WaterGuard in the trench. Our WaterGuard does not only serve as an interior drainage system. It also prevents mud clogs and collects water seepage from basement walls. To complete the installation, our Foreman and his crew filled the open gaps with small rocks and applied a new layer of concrete over them.
