A homeowner from Austin, MN, had recently learned about the dangers of radon gas and the risks it poses to households. She was concerned that radon gas could be in the air she and her family were breathing, so she decided to find a Minnesota radon mitigation specialist who could help. On the recommendation of a friend, he decided to sign up for one of our FREE estimates, and several weeks later, our Design Specialist was headed out to the home.
When he arrived, he got right to work placing a continuous radon monitoring system, which works to collect radon levels in the home, reporting the average level after a certain time. Our Design Specialist explained that if the levels of radon came back higher than 4 pCi/Ls, he would recommend the installation of a radon mitigation system. A typical radon mitigation system consists of a large-diameter plastic pipe that connects the air beneath your foundation to the outdoors. An in-line fan sucks radon-rich air from beneath your foundation and expels this hazardous air to the exterior. Instead of entering your basement or other living space area through numerous gaps and cracks in the foundation, radon gas is extracted from beneath your foundation before it can permeate into interior space. When installed by an experienced radon mitigation specialist, a radon abatement system will lower the concentration of radon gas in your interior air to the minimal levels recommended by the EPA and other health and safety agencies. The homeowner agreed with our Design Specialists plan, but decided to wait until the levels returned to make a choice. Several days later, the results returned, indicating higher-than-normal levels of radon in the home. The homeowner called our Design Specialist to schedule the installation.
On the day of the project, our Foreman, Geno M, and his team were able to successfully install the system. Now, our customer has peace of mind knowing that only the healthiest air is circulating in her home!
A homeowner from Austin, MN, was in the middle of a remodel when he yanked out a section of drywall and uncovered his basement wall was cracking in several locations. He took to the internet to search for 'foundation crack repair company near me' and quickly found American Waterworks. He was impressed with the other work we had done in his area and signed up for his FREE estimate.
Several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Brady S, headed out to the home to conduct his inspection. Once he completed his walkthrough, he met with the homeowner. He informed them that foundation walls are designed to withstand loads from the top, not from the side. So when the side pressure on a wall exceeds what is can withstand, it's not uncommon for homeowners to observe cracking, bowing, sliding in at the bottom, and/or tilting inward at the top of the wall. Brady quickly followed up, explaining that the issue was serious, but American Waterworks had a fix. Brady recommended our PowerBrace wall repair system, explaining that our PowerBraces are an adjustable steel I-beam system with two important benefits: stabilizing bowed or tilting walls and (over time) forcing bowed or tilting wall sections back to their original position. The homeowner was thrilled by the solution and signed on the spot.
A month later, our Foreman, Jorge M, and his crew were headed out to the home. When they had finished, they had effortlessly installed 7 PowerBrace's on the problem wall. Now, our customer can continue with his remodel knowing that the bones underneath are stable and sound!

Following a heavy thunderstorm, a homeowner in Austin, MN, noticed their sump pump was not running at full capacity. The homeowner knew their sump pump needed to be replaced, so they began looking into "interior sump pump near me". After sifting through several companies, only one company stood above the rest: American Waterworks. Next, the homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate details were finalized, we sent one of our Design Specialists, Darin, to the home to take a closer look. After Darin arrived at the home, he introduced himself to the homeowner and began the thorough inspection of the basement. After taking a closer look at the sump pump, Darin confirmed it was not running at full capacity. Darin recommended taking out the old sump pump and replacing it with the TripleSafe Sump Pump, one of our elite sump pump systems. After hearing the benefits of the sump pump system, the homeowner decided to go ahead with the recommended proposal. After receiving the homeowner's stamp of approval, the plans were sent to our Logistics team to schedule and build the project. Our Logistics team gave the green light, then it was assigned to our Foreman, Luis. The following month, Luis and his crew traveled to the home to begin the installation. First, Luis and his crew started by taking out the old sump pump. Once the old sump pump was removed, the homeowner installed the TripleSafe Sump Pump System, one of the most efficient sump pump systems on the market. After the TripleSafe was secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was happy to know they had one of the best sump pumps installed in their home. American Waterworks is happy to provide their homeowners peace of mind knowing their basement is secure.
A homeowner from Austin, MN, had been dealing with a sinking front step for a few years, but had recently learned that uneven concrete can drag down the resale value of the home. Figuring they should get in front of the problem, the homeowner decided to find a concrete raising specialist in Minnesota. When he found our website, he was impressed with our work and positive reviews, so he claimed his FREE estimate. Several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Nathan C, headed out to the home. When Nathan arrived, he got right to work measuring the concrete to see how badly it had sunk. When he finished, he met with the homeowner. He informed him that concrete can sink for a variety of reasons, and that we could fix it using our PolyLevel lifting and leveling solution to restore the stairs. Nathan explained that PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam that expands when it's injected beneath concrete slabs, slowly lifting the slabs back to their original state. Nathan went on to say that once the concrete had been leveled, he would recommend the application of our NexusPro, a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks specially formulated to provide long-lasting flexibility and to stand up to harsh weather conditions. Unlike traditional polyurethane sealants, NexusPro resists UV rays, which means it won't crack, bubble or dry out. That means a single application can seal the joints and cracks in your concrete driveway, patio, or sidewalk for years to come, protecting it from damage caused by soil compaction and washout. The homeowner was thrilled with Nathan's plan and decided to move forward with the job.
Several weeks later, our Foreman, Sam K, and his team were headed out to the home to restore the concrete. Once the job was done, the homeowner was thrilled with the new and improved look of his concrete!
