A homeowner in Sargeant, MN, knew it was time to repair the water-damaged basement. Knowing they could not complete the repairs themselves, the homeowner began looking into "basement water damage near me". One of the first companies to grab their attention was us, American Waterworks, so the homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist, Ryan. Once Ryan arrived, he began the thorough inspection of the basement. During the inspection, Ryan confirmed that the space was suffering from water intrusion. To prevent the issues from worsening, Ryan recommended waterproofing the entire space. Knowing this was the best plan of action, the homeowner agreed and worked with Ryan to find the best installation date. When the installation date arrived, our Foreman, Lane, and his crew traveled to the home to begin. First, Lane and his crew started by securing WaterGuard along the basement perimeter. Once the WaterGuard was secured, the crew attached CleanSpace to the unfinished basement walls. Once all the products were secured, the crew cleaned up their matierals and left the home. American Waterworks is delighted to provide its homeowners with peace of mind, knowing their basements are properly secured.
A homeowner in Dayton, MN, noticed that his basement wall had been tilting inward and wanted to address the issue immediately. He began searching for "foundation repair near me" and found our website. After browsing our website, he was impressed with our 5-star reviews and decided to schedule his FREE estimate.
In a couple of weeks, one of our Design Specialists arrived at the home to conduct a thorough inspection of the basement. He explained to the homeowner that one of the common causes of foundation damage is hydrostatic pressure. When heavy rain or flood causes the soil surrounding the foundation to become saturated with water, the water puts pressure on the walls, impacting the stability of the home. To fix this issue, our Design Specialist recommended our GeoLock wall anchors. GeoLocks are designed to stabilize foundation walls permanently and can be tightened to straighten walls over time. The homeowner was grateful for our Design Specialist's explanation and decided to move forward with the project.
In about a month, our Foreman, Victor S., and his crew arrived at the home to install 5 GeoLocks. These are installed by digging a hole several feet away from the foundation. The earth anchor is then placed and attached to the interior wall. Both anchors are connected by a small steel pole that runs through the ground. After the crew was done with the installation, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.

Ron H. in Elkton, MN had a musty smell coming from his dirt crawl space. He also noticed that it was very humid and he was concerned that energy was being lost through the crawl space. He saw a commercial for American Waterworks and was interested to learn more about our crawl space encapsulation services, so he contacted us for a FREE estimate. One of our Design Specialists went to his home to inspect his crawl space and develop a solution. We were able to confirm that there was quite a bit of moisture accumulating in his crawl space which was causing the musty smell. We also confirmed that energy was being wasted because his crawl space was not insulated. We presented him with an encapsulation plan and he was pleased with the proposal, so he scheduled a date for the project.
Our production team installed drainage matting along the dirt floor and installed our SuperSump sump pump in the corner of the crawl space. Then, they encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier system which protects the space from moisture and potential mold growth. Lastly, they placed a SaniDry dehumidifier in the crawl space to control the humidity. The process took a couple of days to complete, but Ron now has a bright, clean and healthy crawl space. He is also saving money on his energy bill each month.

Remembering they worked with us in the past, the homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner awaited the arrival of Romeo, one of our Design Specialists. Romeo arrived and began inspecting their current sump pump. Romeo confirmed that the sump pump needed to be replaced, so he recommended installing the TripleSafe sump pump. After seeing the incredible benefits, the homeowner agreed with Romeo's recommendations. Our Foreman, Dakota, was assigned to complete the job. When Dakota arrived, he began by taking out the old sump pump. Once the old sump was removed, he put the TripleSafe in its place. Additionally, Dakota installed an IceGuard on the outside discharge line. After the IceGuard was secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was relieved to know they have a proper working sump pump. American Waterworks is happy to give their homeowners peace of mind.
Colleen R. in Hayfield, MN was suffering from a wet basement. Her old system was not keeping up with the amount of water that was coming through her foundation, so she called American Waterworks to receive a FREE estimate. One of our Design Specialists went to her home to inspect her basement and to develop a solution. She was pleased with the thorough plan that we proposed to her, so she chose to have our waterproofing system installed.
Our production team started the waterproofing process by removing the concrete around the perimeter of her basement floor and installing our WaterGuard drainage system. The WaterGuard connects to the TripleSafe sump pump that they installed in the corner of the basement. The water that was leaking into her basement before is now guided through the drainage system, into the sump pump, and then expelled from the home through the discharge line. Colleen's basement has remained a dry, livable space and her peace of mind has been restored!
