Collin M. of Saint Michael, MN wanted to get a Radon Mitigation System installed, so he researched contractors on Angi's List. He came across American Waterworks and scheduled a FREE estimate with our Design Specialist, Jesse. Jesse went to Collin's house, inspected the home, wrote out a quote, and answered all of Collin's questions. Collin was confident in Jesse's proposal, so he went ahead with the project.
Our Foreman, Geno, and his crew installed our Radon Mitigation System outside of the home from the utility room. A homeowner in Saint Michael, MN, noticed the crack in their wall rapidly grow. Worried about the long-term effects, the homeowner knew it was time to have the wall professionally inspected. The homeowner was overwhelmed by all their options, so they tried to narrow their search using HomeAdvisor. On the top of the list was us, American Waterworks, with a nearly perfect five-star rating. The homeowner decided to take a closer look and was impressed by our list of services. Knowing we would do a good job, the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of one of our Design Specialists, Eric. After Eric arrived, he greeted the homeowner and started the basement inspection. Eric determined that the wall was rapidly failing due to hydrostatic pressure. Eric suggested it be permanently stabilized to prevent the wall from total failure. The homeowners agreed and production preparations began. Our Foreman, Luis, and his crew traveled to the home to begin production. First, the crew made sure the wall was prepared for the GeoLock installation. Then, the crew installed five GeoLock anchors on the east basement wall. Once the GeoLocks were secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowners were relieved to know their wall was no longer failing. American Waterworks is happy to provide another homeowner peace of mind.
A homeowner from Arlington, MN got in contact with us when they learned of hazardous radon gas and wanted to have their home tested to make sure the air they were breathing was healthy. They searched for a company that deals with Radon and came across our website. They decided to take advantage of our FREE, no-obligation estimate into the issue. A few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Kevin, headed out to the property to assess the situation. Part of Kevin's visit was leaving a Radon test kit in the basement of the home. Once the Radon test kit had sat in the basement long enough, the sample was sent in for evaluation. The numbers can back reading 12.7 pCi/L, which is extremely high. The EPA recommends taking action on any radon levels over 4 pCi/L. Kevin let the homeowners know that while the numbers were high, our Radon mitigation system would bring those numbers way down to inhabitable conditions. He went on to say that the mitigation system works to pull radon from the home, piping it upwards, and expelling it out through the top of the home, and out and away from the house. The homeowners agreed and work began a few weeks later.
Our Foreman, Geno, and his team make quick work of the installation. Once the job was completed, the homeowner was thrilled to know that they could take a breath of relief with clean air.

Joyce T. in Gaylord, MN had water leaking into her basement causing damage to her property. She learned that American Waterworks has been the leading waterproofing contractor in the region for 30 years and gave us a call. We sent one of our Design Specialists to her home to propose a unique solution that fit the needs of her home.
Our production team started the installation by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement. Then, they laid the WaterGuard drainage system and connected it to our SuperSump sump pump. The drainage system now properly guides water to the sump pump, and from there the water is expelled from the home. Joyce can rest easy knowing she chose a permanent solution to protect her home.
