A homeowner in Ham Lake, MN, had noticed that her porch was uneven with a few of the slabs settling. She was concerned that it would pose a tripping hazard to friends and family and decided to look for concrete services in the area. She came upon our website and was impressed with our 5-star reviews. Soon after browsing through our website, she decided to schedule her FREE estimate.
Our Design Specialist, Gary S., arrived at the home on the scheduled date and conducted a thorough inspection of the basement. He informed the homeowner that one of the common causes of this issue is soil compaction and settling. When a soil's load-bearing capacity is exceeded, it causes the supporting soils of the concrete slab to expand and contract. Eventually, this leads to the slab sinking. For this reason, Gary suggested our PolyLevel to lift the concrete and NexusPro to seal the joints. The homeowner happily agreed and decided to move forward with the project.
In about a month, our Foreman, Troy J., and his crew arrived at the home. They began by drilling small holes into the slab and installing the injection ports. PolyLevel is then injected beneath the slab, filling in the space and lifting the concrete. Once it has been lifted, the crew ensures the slab is leveled before sealing the holes with concrete. Lastly, the crew uses NexusPro to seal the joints and provide a seamless look. Once the crew was done with the installations, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.

Gary recommended installing PolyLevel to lift the slabs back into place. Knowing this was the best plan of action, the homeowner decided to go ahead with Gary's recommendations. Next, Gary passed the proposal to our Logisitcs team to build and finalize the project. Our Logistics team built the project and then scheduled it with our Foreman, Patrick. A few weeks later, Patrick and his crew traveled to the home to begin the project. First, Patrick and his crew started by installing PolyLevel underneath the sinking sidewalk. Once the PolyLevel was installed, the crew shifted to taking out the old joints and replacing them with NexusPro. As soon as all the products were secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was in awe of the excellent work completed by the crew. American Waterworks is happy to repair its customers' sinking sidewalks.

Overwhelmed by all their options, the homeowner tried to sift their options using NextDoor. One of the first companies to show up was ours, American Waterworks. The homeowner was impressed with our reviews and decided to take a closer look at our website. Knowing our services best fit their needs, the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner awaited the arrival of Daniel, one of our Design Specialists. Daniel arrived at the home and began his inspection of the foundation. After completing the estimation, Daniel found that the home was suffering from hydrostatic pressure. To stop the foundation from being affected further, Daniel recommended that PowerBraces be installed on the affected walls. Knowing this was their best option, the homeowner agreed and production began. Our Foreman, Lane, and his crew arrived at the home to start production. First, the crew prepared for the PowerBrace installation. The crew installed six PowerBraces along the north wall in the basement. Once the PowerBraces were installed, they left behind a straightening kit. This will allow the walls to straighten over time. The crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was relieved to know their walls were permanently stabilized. American Waterworks is happy to help out another customer.
