A homeowner in Chisago City, MN was eager to find a solution to fix up his front patio. It was the perfect space for him and his family to use when it was warm out, but over the years many of the slabs that made it up had sunk and left a very uneven surface. Not only did this look unpleasant, but some of the tilted slabs had created a large bump that was a tripping hazard for those walking to the front door. He knew something needed to be done to prevent any issues and to restore the space. At the time of his estimate, one of our Design Specialists arrived at the home and inspected the patio. They determined that our PolyLevel would be the perfect solution to lift and level the entire space. The homeowner agreed to the plans and one of our Foremen, Troy Johnson, and his crew went to the site for installations. After leveling the patio, they sealed each joint with NexusPro for a smooth final look, which the homeowner was pleased with.

Farmer wanted to preserve his barn and prevent the foundation from caving in.

Jonathan P. in River Falls, WI had bowing walls in his basement. He was concerned about the pressure this was putting on his foundation, and he wanted to have his walls repaired before the problem got any worse.He started looking into foundation repair options and he came across the American Waterworks website. He contacted us for a FREE estimate, so we sent a Design Specialist to his home to inspect his foundation and provide him with a solution. We recommended installing PowerBraces along the shifting foundation to halt any further movement and start to move the foundation back into place. Jonathan felt that our plan was the most efficient, durable, and cost-effective option, so he chose to move forward with the installation.

Our production team started the installation by securing brackets into the floor as well as the rim joists. Then, they installed the PowerBraces into the brackets and tightened them as far as they could go. PowerBraces do not require outside excavation so it is less invasive than other foundation repair options. The installation took a day to complete, but now Jonathan’s foundation is permanently restored, and he no longer is concerned about the stability of his walls.

Kathy W. of River Falls, WI had water leaking from her windows into her basement, and she wanted to get it fixed up before she began the moving stage. A realtor referred American Waterworks to her for our basement waterproofing repair products. She called our office line and scheduled a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Mac Cole. Mac went to her home, inspected her basement and windows, and drew out a detailed plan that Kathy could understand. She was confident in Mac's proposal, so she went ahead with the project. 

Our Foreman, Juan Pena, and his production team began the process by cutting out the pre-existing window and replacing it with our EverLast Basement Window. These special windows are energy-efficient, vinyl-framed, and double-paneled and are made to replace outdated wood-framed windows. Next, our crew broke out the concrete floor perimeter with a jackhammer, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System, which is made to prevent water clogs, serve as an underground drain, and collect water seepage from basement walls. Lastly, our team installed our CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier around the wall perimeter, which is made to prevent mold or humidity build-up and cover any holes or divots in the wall. To complete the project, Juan and his crew covered the open gaps with rock, flattened them out, and replaced the concrete. Kathy was and still is a satisfied customer!

The reason behind this was because the exterior wall was capturing moisture and causing water condensation problems. Next, our team broke out the concrete floor perimeter with a jackhammer, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System, which is made to collect water seepage from basement walls and serve as an underground drainage system. To complete the project, Kiko and his crew covered the open gaps with rock and applied new concrete. Teri and Joel were both satisfied and grateful we were able to help them!
