Challenge

Gregg P. was experiencing large amounts of water seeping into his basement during heavy rains. His home did not have an existing waterproofing system in place, so his basement had no protection from the water that was leaking in. His wet basement had created a musty smell and had caused damage to his property.

Solution

American Waterworks successfully waterproofed Gregg’s basement by installing a section of our WaterGuard drainage system, a SuperSump sump pump and our CleanSpace vapor barrier system over the area where water was leaking in. The drainage system directs water to the sump pump and from there, the sump pump pushes the water through the discharge line out and away from the home. The CleanSpace acts as a barrier to protect from moisture and potential mold growth. The basement is now a dry and healthier space.
