Wet Leaking Basement Waterproofed in Rochester, MN

A homeowner in Rochester, MN, noticed that water was leaking into his basement and was unsure of the cause. Solution

In less than a week, our Design Specialist, Brad W., arrived at the home to provide a thorough inspection. During the inspection, Brad noticed that the water leaks were coming between the footing and the wall. Brad explained to the homeowner that the likely reason it is doing that is because of a failed footing drain. When this fails, water saturates the soil surrounding the foundation and forces itself through cracks on the walls, between the footing and the wall, or underneath the footing. For this reason, Brad recommended WaterGuard, our below-the-floor drainage system that is installed at the perimeter of the basement to collect water leaks and safely send it to the sump pump, and CleanSpace, our vapor wall barrier that prevents water from permeating the walls and directs any water leaks to the drainage system. After looking over Brad's proposal, the homeowner happily agreed to his recommendations and scheduled the installation date with our Foreman.

In a couple of months, our Foreman, Diego B., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The crew installed 33ft of WaterGuard and CleanSpace. After the crew was done with the installation, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.
