Settled Concrete Walkway Corrected in Afton, MN

John B. in Afton, MN noticed that his concrete walkway had settled a few inches, creating a large step down from the door. He was unhappy with how it looked, and was concerned people would trip. He wanted to find an effective and affordable way to repair his concrete, rather than replacing it.

He found American Waterworks and was intrigued by the PolyLevel concrete repair solution that we offer. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Kevin McWithey, to his home to provide him with a FREE onsite estimate. John was pleased to learn that our PolyLevel foam injection is a more affordable, non-invasive and durable alternative to traditional concrete repair.

Our PolyLevel experts, Brandon Wiskow and Jared Wroblewski, drilled small holes into the concrete slabs where the foam would be injected. Then, the foam was injected until it was raised back to its original height. The cracks in the concrete were sealed with our Nexus Pro sealant and the process was complete! The job took roughly two hours, and John was able to see the transformation almost immediately because once the foam is injected it takes only 30 minutes to cure. John was glad he chose do go with the PolyLevel repair option provided by American Waterworks.

Concrete Seperation in Afton, MN

A homeowner in Afton, MN, knew it was about time to have their concrete driveway repaired when they noticed a large separation between sections of their driveway. Knowing the problem would only worsen, the homeowner knew it was time to get a second opinion. To start their search, the homeowner asked a local Facebook group if they had recommendations. The comments flooded with recommendations for us, American Waterworks. After seeing the high response, the homeowners decided to investigate our company. The homeowners were impressed by previous jobs and knew that we were the best fit. Next, the homeowners called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, we sent one of our Design Specialist to determine the cause of the sinking. As soon as he arrived, he performed the inspection and found that the concrete was sinking into the ground. Once he determined the cause, the Design Specialist could devise a solution to fix the issue. Knowing this was their best option, the homeowners agreed to the Design Specialist's suggestions, and production preparations began. Our Foreman, Sam, and his crew arrived at the home to begin production. First, the crew inserted the PolyLevel underneath the front slab and a single slab on top of the driveway. The PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam injection solution that lifts and levels sinking concreting. Once the PolyLevel was inserted, the crew shifted their focus to replacing the joints near the door. To fill these joints, the crew used the NexusPro Sealant, a silicone-based sealant. After the joints were replaced, the crew was able to clean up the site and leave the home. The homeowners were grateful for the excellent work completed by the crew. American Waterworks is happy to assist our customers with their concrete concerns.

Concrete Walkway Sinking in Faribault, MN

A homeowner from Faribault, MN, noticed that the concrete slab just beyond his garage door was beginning to sink, creating a trip hazard. Not wanting anyone to take an unnecessary tumble, he decided to research companies in the area that could help with the problem. After doing his research online, he came across our website and decided to take advantage of our FREE estimates. A few weeks later our Design Specialist, Aidan, headed out to the home.

After Aidan finished his inspection of the concrete, he informed the homeowner that he was right to call. Concrete issues are often cheaper when caught and addressed earlier. He went on to say that American Waterworks could fix the sinking slab by using our PolyLevel lifting and leveling method. Our PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam that expands when injected below slabs, filling voids left by soil erosion and slowly lifting the slab back to its desired resting spot. Aidan went on to say that we finished the process by installing our NexusPro. This silicone-based sealant gets applied directly to the cracks and joints in the concrete, preventing any unwanted water from getting below the slab. The homeowner agreed and the work was scheduled to be completed a few weeks later.

On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Patrick, and his team made quick work of the project. When the job was completed, our customer was thrilled to know he no longer needed to worry about trip hazards!

Sinking Concrete Walkway Gets Lifted in Faribault, MN

A homeowner from Faribault, MN, got in touch with us when she noticed that a crack in her front walkway had progressed and gotten worse. Not wanting to let the issue worsen, she decided to give us a call and claim her FREE estimate, and a few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Tony B, headed out to the home. When Tony concluded his inspection, he met with the homeowner to give his recommendation. He informed the homeowner that we could address the sinking concrete with the help of our PolyLevel lifting and leveling solution. He explained that our PolyLevel is a dense, polyurethane foam that expands when injected beneath sinking concrete, filling voids left by soil erosion and slowly lifting the concrete back into its former place. He went on to say that our lifts are completed with the application of our NexusPro. A silicone-based sealant, NexusPro gets applied to cracks and joints in the concrete and works to prevent moisture from getting below the slab. Cracked and Settling Porch Lifted and Sealed in Faribault, MN

A homeowner in Faribault, MN, was concerned about his settling back porch, which was a tripping hazard for family and friends. He searched for "porch sinking repair" and found our website. After browsing our website, he was impressed with our before-and-after photos and decided to schedule his FREE, no-obligation estimate.

Our Design Specialist, Mitch S., arrived at the home on the scheduled date and conducted a thorough inspection of the back porch. He explained to the homeowner that one of the common causes of a sinking porch is soil compacting and settling. When a soil's load-bearing capacity exceeds, it causes the support soil beneath the concrete slab to expand and contract. This eventually leads to concrete sinking and, in most cases, cracks forming in one or more parts of the slab. To fix this issue, Mitch recommended our PolyLevel to lift the concrete and NexusPro to seal the cracks and joints. The homeowner was thankful for Mitch's explanation and decided to move forward with his recommendation. Mitch's design was then sent to our Foreman, Jordan S.

In about a month, Jordan and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. They began lifting the concrete by drilling small holes into the slab and installing the injection ports. PolyLevel is then injected beneath the slab, causing it to lift. Once it has been lifted, the crew ensures it is leveled before sealing the holes with concrete. Lastly, the crew uses NexusPro to seal the cracks and joints. Both PolyLevel and NexusPro are long-lasting with high durability. Once the crew was done with the installations, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.

Now, our customer can have peace of mind with his porch leveled and crack-free! Are you experiencing something similar? Schedule your FREE estimate today by clicking HERE!
