Ron H. in Elkton, MN had a musty smell coming from his dirt crawl space. He also noticed that it was very humid and he was concerned that energy was being lost through the crawl space. He saw a commercial for American Waterworks and was interested to learn more about our crawl space encapsulation services, so he contacted us for a FREE estimate. One of our Design Specialists went to his home to inspect his crawl space and develop a solution. We were able to confirm that there was quite a bit of moisture accumulating in his crawl space which was causing the musty smell. We also confirmed that energy was being wasted because his crawl space was not insulated. We presented him with an encapsulation plan and he was pleased with the proposal, so he scheduled a date for the project.
Our production team installed drainage matting along the dirt floor and installed our SuperSump sump pump in the corner of the crawl space. Then, they encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier system which protects the space from moisture and potential mold growth. Lastly, they placed a SaniDry dehumidifier in the crawl space to control the humidity. The process took a couple of days to complete, but Ron now has a bright, clean and healthy crawl space. He is also saving money on his energy bill each month.

Joe of Farmington, MN, got in contact with us when he began to notice his stone foundation crawl space was beginning to sag. Joe knew that if he left the problem unresolved, it could cause further structural damage to the home and possibly cost much more down the road. When Joe contacted us, we set him up with our FREE estimate. Our Design Specialist, Dylan, was able to get out to the property to do a thorough inspection and once he had finished, he was able to make recommendations about how we could help Joe fix the issue. This means your SmartJack system can be tightened for years to come. Joe agreed with Dylan's recommendations and renovations began soon after. Our Foreman, Raul, and his crew ended up strategically placing 5 SmartJacks in the crawl space of Joe's home. The installation was quick to complete. Once the job was done, Joe was relieved to know that his foundation worries were in the past.
A homeowner from Plymouth, MN, was skimming a local shopper when she came across one of our ads that stated that properly encapsulating your crawl space could save you up to 20% on energy bills. She knew her home had a crawl space that was rarely looked at, so she decided to sign up for one of our FREE estimates, and several weeks later, Michel R, one of our Design Specialists, headed to the home.
Michel's inspection began down in the crawl space, where he ran several tests to figure out whether or not the space was energy efficient. When he concluded, he met with the homeowner to deliver his recommendations. Michel took his time to create a plan for the homeowner. His plan began with recommending our CleanSpace vapor barrier. This 100% waterproof tarp-like material gets installed directly on the unfinished walls of the crawl space. Of its functions, the most notable is that it effectively seals off your crawl space, making it inhospitable for pests, deterring any excess water that enters the space, and making the living space more comfortable by cutting heating and cooling costs. Michel went on to say that he had found signs of water intrusion, so along with the CleanSpace, he was recommending our drainage matting. This dimpled matting is laid down on the crawl space floor underneath the CleanSpace, to give water entering the space a channel to flow freely to a disposal site. Michel noted the crawl space lacked a means of getting rid of water, so his final recommendation was our SmartDrain. The SmartDrain alerts you to a leak with an audible alarm and drains the water away to a drywall under the CleanSpace liner to protect against property damage. Running a condensation line allows for furnace or dehumidifier drainage. The homeowner was thrilled with Michel's recommendations and signed on the spot.
When the day of the installation rolled around, our Foreman, Jeromy A, and his crew wasted no time getting to work. When they had finished, they had successfully installed 306 sqft of CleanSpace, 240 sqft of Drainage Matting, and 1 SmartDrain. Now, our customer can rest comfortably, knowing that her crawl space is healthy and efficient!
