Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

A homeowner in Forest Lake, MN had moisture in his crawl space, and he was concerned about the damage that was being caused. We sent on our Design Specialists, Shane Nephew, to meet with him and evaluate the situation. Shane developed a unique plan to permanently restore this homeowner’s crawl space. 

Our Foreman, Juan Pena, and his production crew got to work and removed the debris from the crawl space. They began the project by installing our Drainage matting on the floor of the crawl space and our recommended TripleSafe sump pump. Then, they installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier to completely encapsulate the space and spray foam insulation in the rim joists to prevent energy loss and keep heat in. Lastly, they installed our SaniDry dehumidifier to take care of any humidity. The homeowner is glad his crawl space is now a clean, dry, and more energy-efficient space.

A homeowner from Calmar, IA, was noticing an odd phenomenon around his home. At times, a foul odor could be detected wafting through the air of the home. Try as he might, the homeowner could not pin down the source of the odor. After speaking with neighbors, he realized the issue might be coming from his below-ground crawl space. Crawl space encapsulation requires several products to properly defend the space. First, drainage matting is laid down on the floor of the space. This dimpled mat works to provide a channel for water to flower freely through to a disposal site. Next, our CleanSpace is applied to the floors and walls of the crawl space. This 100% plastic vapor barrier stops moisture from passing through floors and porous concrete walls. The homeowner agreed, and he and Brady worked together to find the best time for the installation.
