Foundation Repaired in Cornell, WI

Jack and Marie R. of Cornell, WI had bowing walls near the staircase going into their basement. This made them worry about the structural support of their house. They got in contact with American Waterworks and scheduled a FREE estimate with our Design Specialist, Chuck Haldeman. Chuck inspected Jack and Marie's foundation, proposed the solution of our Wall Anchor System, and answered all of their questions. After a thorough inspection and discussion, Jack and Marie decided to move forward with the project.

Our Foreman, Chri Newton, and his production crew installed four of our Wall Anchors. Our Wall Anchors are designed to stabilize basement walls, providing the best opportunity to straighten the walls without the cost of replacement. This system is the most versatile wall repair method because it stabilizes walls with a variety of problems, whether the walls are bowing, tipping, or pushing in at the bottom. Wall Anchors extend out to the stable soil beyond the home, anchoring themselves there and straightening the foundation wall. Jack and Marie were happy with the work that was completed and had a great experience with our team from start to finish!

Shed Gets Stabilized in Stanley, WI

James from Stanley, MN got in contact with us when he began to notice the walls of his shed were beginning to show signs of cracking, indicating wall failure. He was afraid that if he left the issue unresolved, he would face more serious wall failure down the road or water intrusion from the cracks. We set him up with our FREE estimate when he called our office. A few weeks after the appointment was set, our Design Specialist, Chuck, headed out to the property to see what could be done to help fix the issue. Once he completed his walkthrough, he had a few recommendations. First, he wanted to use our Geo-Lock Channel Anchors and GeoLock Anchors to fix the cracking wall. He explained to James that our wall anchors are designed to be quick, with minimal disturbance to your home or landscaping. He went on to say that the Channel Anchors would immediately stabilize walls pushing in at the bottom by connecting to an earth anchor embedded in the soil. He then said that our GeoLock anchors help the bowing walls by anchoring them to the hard-packed virgin soil beyond the foundation. Our customer agreed and work began shortly after.

Our Foreman, Matt, and his crew ended up installing 4 channel anchors as well as 13 of our GeoLock anchors around the perimeter of the shed as well as an unattached boathouse. Now James can have peace of mind knowing his shed's foundation will be stable for years to come.

Sinking Foundation in Tomah, WI

Client tried several alternatives to prevent foundation from sinking, but the home continued to do so.  With a little help from American Waterwork's piering system, we were able to fix the problem and prevent any further damage to the home.

Cracked Foundation Wall is Sealed in Tomah, WI Home

A homeowner in Tomah, WI noticed seapage through their drywall and called American Waterworks to investigate the issue.  After a thorough analysis Tom noticed a crack in the homeowner's foundation that was causing the leak.  American Waterworks was able to install The FlexiSpan system in which seals the wall crack as a first line of defense.   But if any water should leak through the crack, a hidden, foam-lined channel transports this leakage to the waterproofing system.  Peace of mind for a lifetime!

Failing Wall Fixed in Tomah, WI

A Tomah, WI, homeowner had been eyeing his basement walls for some time now. He could have sworn that, over time, the wall had slowly been showing signs of tilting inward. The homeowner didn't know of any local foundation repair companies, but on the recommendation of a friend, decided to call American Waterworks and set up a FREE estimate. Several weeks later, one of our Design Specialist was headed out to the home.

When our Design Specialist arrived, he wasted no time getting down into the basement to examine the wall and the foundation of the home. When he finished, he met with the homeowner to deliver his results.

He began by saying that foundation walls are designed to withstand pressure from above, not from the side. So, when the pressure on the side of the wall exceeds what the wall can withstand, homeowners will see bowing, cracking, sliding in at the bottom, or tilting inward at the top. Our Design Specialist then reassured the homeowner that while this issue seems daunting, the solution is relatively simple and non-invasive. Our Design Specialist wanted to use our CarbonArmor wall reinforcing system. He explained that CarbonArmor is a state-of-the-art solution used to fix cracked and bowing foundation walls. It's comprised of epoxy and carbon fiber to strengthen and stabilize foundation walls. While this method does not restore a bowed wall, it will halt further movement and cracks. The homeowner was happy with our recommendation, and decided to sign on the spot.
On the day of the installation, our crew, led by their Foreman Chris N, worked hard to install 7 CarbonArmor straps throughout the basement and on the wall in question. When the process had been completed, our homeowner was thrilled to know that he could put his foundation worries in the past!
