Jerry, from Pierz, MN began to notice cracks in the foundation walls of her home. The cracks in the wall resulted in the cracks that are caused within the foundation allowing water to seep through causing a wet basement. When foundation walls begin to buckle, bow or tilt inward, homeowners are correct to be alarmed. Outside pressure from soil and water can actually cause foundation walls to collapse!
Jerry smartly contacted the Appointment Center here at American Waterworks, expressing his major concern, and claimed his FREE estimate entitling him to a full home inspection. Once the appointment was set, our Design Specialist Shane then attended the home and began a thorough home inspection to get a proper diagnosis of the situation and provide the best solutions to help not only solve the issue but prevent any other issues from arising. Once the inspection was done, Shane recommended that Jerry should invest in our PowerBrace Wall System. He agreed with the solution and proceeded to schedule a date of installation.
Once set, our Foreman, Jeromy, and his crew began to strategically place PowerBraces around the basement, inserting a total of 12, 9' PowerBraces to stabilize the wall further. The PowerBrace system is an I-shaped beam that stabilizes and helps straighten the bow of the wall over time. The PowerBrace system is drilled into the support beams of the home and the concrete on which the home lies. The PowerBrace™ can be installed with no disruption to outside soils or landscaping. This foundation wall system installs quickly in your home, immediately and permanently halting the inward movement of your foundation walls. Brett from Burnsville, MN found out his foundation was in jeopardy when he noticed cracks that were being created by the bowing of the foundation wall. Brett started to worry about the structure of his home and was looking for a cost-effective solution. Brett then contacted the Appointment Center at American Waterworks and schedule his FREE estimate which entitled Brett to a free home inspection by our Design Specialist. Once the appointment was scheduled, the Design Specialist headed out to Brett's home to conduct a thorough inspection to provide Brett with the best solution to solve his problems and prevent the wall from bowing any further. Our Design Specialist proposed to Brett that the best solution to prevent any further bowing of the wall is our CarbonArmor solution. The CarbonArmor is a carbon fiber strap that goes alongside the wall and stabilizes the foundation and is attached to the wall with a special epoxy. The CarbonArmor strengthens due to the pressure that is applied to it. Brett agrees with the proposition and proceeds with the project. Once the installation date was scheduled, our foreman Chris Newton proceeded to install four CarbonArmor straps alongside the issue wall. Brett was impressed with the quick installation and the cost of the proceeding, and his peace of mind was restored knowing that he did not have to worry about the foundation of his home!!
