Dale H. of Fargo, ND had a cracked wall in his basement due to poor soil pressed against the outside foundation. He wanted repairs right away so he went to the Red River Valley Home and Garden Show to find a contractor who could help him. He came across our American Waterworks booth and discussed his problems with our Design Specialist, Rick Weber. Rick went to his home for a FREE Estimate to inspect the problem and come up with a solution. Dale was confident in Rick's proposal, so they went ahead with the project.
Our Foreman, Tremaine Jackson and his production team began the project by digging eight holes outside of the home and inserting a long, metal rod from the inside of the basement to each hole. Next, our team installed and tightened a GeoLock Wall Anchor at the ends of each rod to straighten and stabilize the wall back into its original position. To complete the installation, Tremaine and his team backfilled each hole and replaced the soil, leaving the yard clean and neat. Dale was happy and appreciated all efforts involved!
Joe and Janessa D. of Fargo, ND had bowing walls in their basement, making them worry about the structural build and stability of their house. They knew of our Design Specialist, Ian Schultz, so they talked to him about coming out to their home for a FREE estimate. Ian went to their house, carefully inspected their walls, and drew up the solution of our GeoLock Wall Anchor System. Joe and Janessa felt confident in the videos, pictures, and graphics of the product that Ian showed them, so they went ahead and signed Ian's contract and wrote out a deposit check.
Our Foreman, Corey Tollefson, and his production team started the installation by digging holes outside of the home beyond the foundation. Next, our team inserted a long, metal rod from the interior foundation to each hole outside of the home. At the end of each rod in the soil, our team installed an anchor plate, which provides the pressure against the inside of the foundation wall. Next, from the interior foundation, our team installed a GeoLock Wall Anchor to the end of each rod to stabilize the foundation wall and pull it back into its normal position. Over time, the homeowner can tighten the anchors to ensure that the system is working properly. To finish the installation, Corey and his crew backfilled each hole outside of the home, compacted the soil, and ensured the yard looked neat and cleaned up.

Jeff, of Fertile, MN, reached out for support with the local golf course, Sandhill River Golf Course. A 16ft. wide cart bridge on the course needed support, as the soil beneath was settling and the bridge was becoming unsafe. Design Specialist Richie went to look at the issue after Jeff contacted us for a FREE estimate. After a thorough examination, Richie recommended that Jeff and the club invest in helical deck piers. These plates have used proven structural engineering technology for years to repair damaged foundations and overcome problems caused by weak and unstable soil conditions. Weak or unstable soil near the surface isn't a problem because piers can be driven to reach robust and stable soil at greater depths. Jeff was happy with the proposal, and we got to work!
Foreman Jose and his crew installed 4 of our Helical Piers, designed to create a solid supporting base that transfers the structure's weight downwards to strong supporting soils. The helical-shaped plates on the shank of a helical pier are engineered so that the dock can be turned into the ground like a giant screw. Rotational resistance is measured as the pier is installed to ensure that the dock is solidly anchored in the soil. Our helical piers were installed to lift the bridge back to its original position. The team mechanically screwed sections of the helical pier into the soil. Once the dock met its depths, our crew installed foundation brackets below the footing. The bridge's weight could transfer through the helical pier to deep soils. Lastly, Jose and his crew replaced the soil to ensure the space looked neater than when they found it.
