Shifting Foundation Repair in Rochester, MN

In Rochester, MN, a homeowner had noticed their foundation wall starting to shift inward. Concerned for the integrity of their home, the homeowner knew it would be best to address the issue as soon as possible rather than waiting until it worsens. The homeowner had a successful basement waterproofing job done by us many years ago and was coming up on their annual maintenance. They knew it would be the perfect opportunity to express their concerns.

On the scheduled date, our Service Technician, Kyle H., arrived at the home for maintenance. He took a close look at our products to ensure they were working properly and worked closely with the homeowner on any concerns they were experiencing. After looking at the foundation walls and confirming it had started shifting, Kyle created a solution. Kyle recommended installing GeoLock, our wall anchoring system that is designed to anchor the shifting wall to stable soil. Confident in our team, the homeowner decided to move forward with the project.

In about a month, our Foreman, Jose C., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The crew successfully installed 8 GeoLock wall anchors to permanently stabilize the foundation.

Push Piers Restore Foundation in Rochester, MN

Nathan U. in Rochester, MN had our waterproofing system installed in his home. During one of his annual maintenance appointments our Senior Service Technician, Ben McKee, noticed his garage floor was uneven, and he feared the problem was only going to get worse. After a thorough inspection, he was able to recommend our Foundation Push Pier System to provide a permanent solution to the settlement issue. Nathan was impressed with Ben’s evaluation and the products presented, and he moved forward with the project.

Our Foreman, Matt Zeller, and his production crew started the installation by digging out the soil surrounding the home where the foundation was settling. Then, they installed heavy-duty steel brackets below the footing of the foundation. Next, rugged, interlocking steel pier sections are hydraulically driven through the bracket until bedrock or stable soil is reached. The weight of the home is then transferred through the piers to load-bearing soil. Lastly, the crew installed our SentrySeal membrane to seal off any cracks and prevent water from entering the basement. They replaced the soil and cleaned up their work area. Nathan is glad he chose to invest in the stability of his home, and we are glad we could restore his peace of mind!

Failing Wall Addressed in Rochester, MN

A Rochester, MN, homeowner was down in his basement doing laundry one evening when he noticed a large crack running the length of the basement. Worried about what this could mean for the structural integrity of the home, he decided to find a foundation repair company in Rochester, MN. He quickly found American Waterworks and signed up for his FREE estimate.

Several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Ross J, was headed out to the home. When Ross arrived, he got right to work assessing the foundation of the home. When he finished, he met with the homeowner. He began by informing the homeowner that foundation walls are not designed to withstand pressure on the side of the wall. So when the pressure exceeds what the wall can withstand, it's not uncommon for homeowners to see bowing, cracking, tilting inward at the top, and/or sliding in at the bottom of the wall. For this reason, Ross wanted to use our GeoLock wall anchors. These anchos counteract the pressure being put on the wall by anchoring it to the undisturbed, hard-packed soil beyond the foundation of the home. The homeowner was thrilled with Ross's explanation and solution, and signed on the spot.

A month or so later, our team was on their way to install the anchors. Our Foreman, Jesus C, and his team effortlessly installed 9 of our GeoLock anchors in the basement of the home. Now, our homeowner can confidently continue their everyday lives, knowing that their foundation is stable.
