A homeowner in Northfield, MN, saw a documentary discussing the dangers of radon. Radon is an invisible, odorless, and tasteless gas that can only be detected by testing. Additionally, there have been over 20,000 lung cancer-related deaths each year. Worried there was a large risk in their home, the homeowner knew they needed to test the levels in their home. Knowing they needed a professional, the homeowner began looking into "radon testing near me". One of the first companies to catch their attention was us, American Waterworks. Impressed with our radon mitigation services, the homeowner knew we were the ideal company for their project. Since they were already on the website, the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner awaited the arrival of our Design Specialist, Nathan. A few weeks later, Nathan arrived at the home and started the appointment. First, Nathan set up and began the radon test. While the radon test was being completed, Nathan began searching for the best place to install the Radon Mitigation System. Once the test was completed, Nathan confirmed the home was testing high for radon. After sharing the news with the homeowner, Nathan recommended installing a Radon Mitigation System on the side of the home. Knowing this was their best plan of action, the homeowner decided to go ahead with Nathan's recommendations. After receiving the homeowner's stamp of approval, Nathan sent the plans to our Logistics team to give the final stamp of approval. Our Logistics team built and scheduled the plans, then they were assigned to our Foreman, Dakota, and his crew. A few weeks later, Daktoa traveled to the home to begin the installation. First, Dakota and his crew started by ensuring the space was ready for installation. Next, Dakota and his crew began by installing the Radon Mitigation System. The Radon Mitigation System is designed depending on the structure of your home. Once the Radon Mitigation System was secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was relieved to know their radon risk was eliminated. American Waterworks is happy to provide its homeowners with peace of mind. 

Denise J. of Fort Ripley, MN had water leaking from her foundation walls into her basement, making her worry about stained walls, water damage, and flooding hazards. She got in touch with our office staff and scheduled a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Chad Johnson. Chad went to her home to carefully inspect the walls and come up with a solution that fit her home repair needs and budget. Denise was confident in Chad's proposal and was content with the products and their warranties, so she went ahead with the project. 

Our Foreman, Raul Barroso, and his production team began the project by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard Drainage System, which is the most common waterproofing repair product we provide for homeowners. It serves as an underground drain in connection with the sump pump, it prevents water and mud clogs, and it collects water seepage from basement walls. Next, our team installed our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier around the wall perimeter. Our CleanSpace is made to prevent mold build-up, humidity growth, and guide water into the WaterGuard. To complete the project, Raul and his team filled the open gaps with river rock and applied new concrete over it. Denise was happy with the work that was done and was impressed by the transformation from start to finish!

Patricia H. in Waltham, MN was tired of dealing with her sunken, uneven driveway and walkway around her home. She contacted American Waterworks for a FREE estimate, and we sent one of our Design Specialists, Kevin Beseman, to evaluate the situation and propose a unique concrete repair solution. Patricia was impressed with our 3 part Concrete Protection System and Kevin’s presentation, so she moved forward with the project. 

Our concrete repair experts drilled small holes into the concrete to inject a polymer foam called PolyLevel. Once the foam is injected into the concrete, the foam expands and raises it. They injected the foam into multiple spots throughout the driveway and sidewalk until the concrete was raised and level to its original position. Then, they sealed the cracks with our NexusPro sealant to protect the concrete and give it a nice, finished look. Lastly, they used our SealantPro to seal the concrete, restoring quality and protecting against UV, weather, oil and water damage for 3 to 5 times longer than other concrete sealants. Patricia was pleased with the results and is looking forward to enjoying her newly restored concrete for years to come!

Our Design Specialist, Shane Nephew, went to her home to diagnose the problem and come up with a solution. Penny got all her questions answered, so she scheduled an installation date. 

Our Foreman, Kiko Pena, and our production crew began the project by drilling weep holes at the bottom of the wall perimeter to relieve water pressure. Next, our crew installed 90 feet our DryTrak Drain Pipe System around the floor perimeter and over the holes. Our DryTrak is made to collect and channel water to the sealed sump pump or basement drain. Next, our crew applied 68 feet of our CleanSpace Halfwall around the wall perimeter to prevent mold and humidity and forces water seepage to fall into the DryTrak. Penny was happy with the outcome and was grateful we were able to help serve her and her home repair needs!
