Wet Basement Restored in Peterson, MN

Beverly K. in Peterson, MN had water seeping through the walls into her basement which was starting to cause serious damage to the foundation and creating a musty smell. She was concerned about the air quality of her home and started to do some research. She learned that American Waterworks is the leading contractor in basement waterproofing and gave us a call. We sent our Design Specialist to her home to evaluate the situation and propose a unique solution to fit her needs and goals. She approved of the plan and moved forward with the installation date. 

Our Foreman, Cole Brinkman, and the production crew got to work. They started the installation by removing the concrete and laying 119 feet of the WaterGuard drainage system around the perimeter of the basement. Then, they installed the sump pump and our CleanSpace vapor barrier along the walls. The drainage system now properly guides water to the sump pump, and from there the water is pushed through the discharge line and expelled from the home. Beverly also had a SaniDry XP Dehumidifer installed to ensure her basement was protected from excess moisture. The SaniDry XP removes up to 109 liters of water per day and is more powerful and energy efficient than ever! Beverly is glad she made the investment to protect her home.
