Our Foreman and his production team began the project by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter with a jackhammer. Our team formed a trench and installed our WaterGuard in the trench. Our WaterGuard does not only serve as an interior drainage system. It also prevents mud clogs and collects water seepage from basement walls. To complete the installation, our Foreman and his crew filled the open gaps with small rocks and applied a new layer of concrete over them. Our crew drilled a weep hole through each foundation block to enable the water to pour through the holes and into the drain pipe. The homeowner worried that the basement leaks could be a sign of a bigger issue, so he decided to take action. It works to provide water entering through the floor a channel to flow freely to a disposal site. Second, Michel recommended our CleanSpace vapor barrier; a 100% waterproof plastic vapor barrier, perfect for finished basement walls. The CleanSpace is installed directly onto the wall, and fed into the CleanSpace, giving water trickling down basement walls a channel to the WaterGuard and then a disposal site.
