A homeowner in Kanawha, IA, was worried their foundation crack was going to cause serious issues to their home. Concerned this could cause structural damage to their home, the homeowner began looking into foundation repair near Kanawha, IA. The homeowner looked into "fix basements in Iowa" and one of the first companies to show up was us, American Waterworks. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Brady, to the home to begin the detailed inspection. Brady traveled to the home and began the thorough inspection of the basement. During his investigation, Brady determined the north wall was struggling the most and required stabilization. Brady was able to come up with a solution that would permanently stabilize the wall, so he presented his proposal to the homeowner. Once the homeowner heard the proposal, they knew it was the best option for their home. Brady sent the proposal to our office to receive the final stamp of approval. After our Logistics team approved the plans, they scheduled it with our Foreman, Chris, and his crew. As soon as they received the plans, Chris and his crew traveled to the home and began the installation. First, Chris and his crew installed 12 GeoLock Wall Anchors along the north wall. The crew secured the interior and exterior anchors to ensure the wall would stay stable. Once all the GeoLocks were secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. Jeremy, from Halstad, MN got in contact with us when he began to notice that his basement wall was beginning to crack, showing clear signs of wall failure. Jeremy didn't want to risk compromising the structural integrity of the home more than it already was, so he decided to give us a call. When he called in, we set him up with our FREE estimate. A few weeks later our Design Specialist, Richie, headed out to the property to complete his inspection. Once he concluded, he recommended the use of our PowerBrace system, steel I-beams that will stabilize the wall in its current position without any further adjustments. Our Production crew, led by our Foreman, Tremaine, ended up installing 6 of our PowerBraces throughout the space. The crew began by installing eight GeoLock anchors along the east and south foundation walls. Additionally, the crew installed four PowerBraces on the west foundation wall. The homeowner also requested that the tightening kit be included, so the walls can be straightened gradually over time. The crew successfully stabilized both walls and finished the project. Tom and Cindy S. in Hector, MN had a bowed foundation wall in their basement that needed to be looked at. We sent out our Design Specialist, Shane Nephew, for a Free Estimate to figure out what the best solution would be. Shane had to take off the wood wall panels to see what the wall looked like, and he determined that wall anchors were the best way to fix the repairs. 

Our Foreman, Juan Pena, and his production crew began the installation by digging 5 small holes outside of the house parallel to the bowed wall and inserted long, metal rods through the foundation and into the soil. Then, they screwed on and tightened anchor plates on each side enabling the wall to straighten out. Our anchor system is made with a 25-year warranty and is corrosion-resistant. After the installation, Tom and Cindy were happy with the work that was done and love their new wall!
