A homeowner in Norwood Young America, MN, was doing their laundry when their foundation wall was beginning to crumble. Uneasy about this discovery, the homeowners began searching for repair options. After finalizing the details, we sent one of our Design Specialist, Ryan, to survey the status of the wall. Following his survey, Ryan suggested that the homeowners install SmartJacks to permanently stabilize the home's floors. The homeowner agreed with Ryan's suggestions and the plans were sent to the assigned crew. Our Foreman, Matt, and his crew traveled to the home to begin the SmartJack installation. Upon arrival, the crew began by making sure the entire area was clear before installation. The crew installed eight SmartJacks around the basement. Additionally, a supplemental beam was installed between two of the SmartJacks to provide further stabilization. After the SmartJacks were fully installed, the crew cleaned up their job site and left the home. The homeowner was happy to know their floors were permanently stabilized. Our Foreman, Dylon VanCanneyt, and his crew installed our WaterGuard first, which is an interior drainage system that prevents clogs and has easily accessible water ports when it comes time for annual maintenance. Next, our crew installed our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier around the basement wall perimeter, which prevents mold and humidity and provides warmth to the basement. Lastly, our crew installed our Wall Anchor System which brings the foundation wall back to its natural position. Geoffrey said he no longer has any water in his basement and was very happy with the crew!

A homeowner from Waseca, MN, had been keeping an eye on his home's foundation for years now. Small cracks had slowly been forming over the years. When Eric arrived at the property, he got right to work assessing the basement. The homeowner's concerns were quickly validated, as Eric explained that foundation walls are designed to withstand pressure from the top, not the sides. He went on to say that when side pressure on a wall exceeds what the wall can withstand, cracking, bowing, and tilting inward can occur. For this reason, Eric wanted to use our GeoLock wall anchors to fix the problem. Eric explained that GeoLock anchors counteract the pressure being put on the wall by anchoring the failing wall to the undisturbed soil beyond the foundation. In many instances, these anchors can be tightened as time goes on to give the home more stability as it continues to settle. The homeowner was thrilled with Eric's solution and signed on the spot.

The combination of these products transformed Kayti’s basement into a stable, dry, and healthy space.
