To complete the WaterGuard project, our team covered the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. The crew then added a half-wall of our CleanSpace to encapsulate the basement to prevent moisture and mold from affecting the rest of the foundation. Then, our crew inserted our SuperSump® Premier Pump System. It is engineered to help keep the basement dry and healthy for extended periods, even during heavy water intrusion. The SuperSump® includes a powerful Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower cast-iron sump pump, capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour at an 8-foot head out of your basement. To direct water away from the home's foundation so that it would not leak back into the basement, the team added a 30-foot discharge line from the West end of the basement. Furthermore, American Waterworks can help prevent wintertime freeze-up of discharge lines. We installed the patented IceGuard® system, an anti-freeze fitting that is installed outside of the home and ejects water away from the foundation if the sump pump discharge lines freeze or become clogged.
