Jean G. of Chippewa Falls, WI has lived in her home for five years and never goes downstairs. She recently did and she noticed a musty smell and damp floors. She called American Waterworks and scheduled a FREE estimate with our Design Specialist, Chad. Chad went to Jean's house, thoroughly inspected her basement, and proposed the solution of our WaterGuard Below the Floor Drain and CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier. Jean was confident in both products and systems, so she went ahead with the project. 

Our Foreman, Raul B., and his crew began the project by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our crew installed our WaterGuard, which is an interior drainage system that prevents mud clogs and collects water leakage from basement walls. Next, our crew installed our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier, which is designed to prevent water from seeping through the walls and save money on energy costs. To complete the project, our crew filled the open-floor gaps with river rock and applied a new layer of concrete over them. 

Jean was happy with the project and could no longer sense the musty odors!

Tom O. in Taylor, WI was suffering from a wet basement. Water was seeping through the block foundation and pooling on the floor. Our Foreman, Jesus Covarrubias, and his production crew removed the concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor, laid the WaterGuard drainage system, installed our recommended TripleSafe sump pump, and then filled back the gaps with rock. The discharge line was installed in the yard and they replaced the concrete in the basement. The process only took one day to complete, and Tom is glad he made the investment to protect his basement.

In the trench, our team installed 146 feet of our WaterGuard System, which is made to collect water seepage from basement walls, prevent water clogs, and serve as an underground drain in connection to the sump pump. Next, our team installed our CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier around the basement wall perimeter. Our CleanSpace System is made to prevent mold and humidity, keep water from invading the basement, and direct leaking water into the WaterGuard. To complete the installation, Kiko and his crew covered all the open gaps with river rock and applied new concrete over it, leaving the basement looking much neater than when they found it. Lastly, our team installed our SuperSump Plus M53 sump pump, which is made to keep basements clean and dry for long periods of time, and our SaniDry XP Upright Dehumidifier. Our SaniDry Dehumidifier removes up to 109 liters of water per day and dries up to 2,500 square feet in an 8-foot high basement. To complete the installation, our team covered the open gaps with river rock and applied new concrete. Nicole and Tyler were happy with the repairs and could not believe the transformation!

A homeowner in Fall Creek, WI, knew it was about time for their annual maintenance appointment. Since they scheduled the appointment with our Design Specialist, the homeowner knew the date was approaching. The homeowner called our service coordinators to double-check the date and times and then confirmed they would be working with our Service Technician, Jack. A few weeks later, Jack arrived at the home and began the annual maintenance inspection. During his inspection, Jack noticed the sump pump was not acting right. Additionally, Jack noticed the walls were quite damaged and leaking cold air. To prevent these issues from worsening, Jack recommended installing a sump pump and CleanSpace. First, Jack took out the old sump pump and replaced it with the TripleSafe Sump Pump. Next, Jack attached CleanSpace to the unfinished basement walls. Once both products were secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was relieved to know their basement was properly repaired.
