John and Starla H. of Galesburg, ND had water leaking from their walls and had cracks throughout their concrete floor, causing them to feel nervous and unsafe about the living conditions in their home. They went on HomeAdvisor and came across American Waterworks. After looking through the photo galleries of our basement waterproofing and foundation repair installations, they called our office line and set up a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Ian Schultz. Ian went to their home, inspected their problems, and came up with a solution that fit their needs. John and Starla got all of their questions answered and were confident in Ian's proposal, so they went ahead with the project.
Our Foreman, Ryan Loe, and his production team began the project by breaking out the concrete floor with a jackhammer, removing all of the existing concrete. In replacement, our team laid down gravel, river rock, and sand. Next, our team installed our WaterGuard System around the floor perimeter. Our WaterGuard is an underground drainage system that connects to the sump pump, prevents water clogs, and collects water seepage from basement walls. Then, our crew installed our CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier System around the wall perimeter, which is made to prevent mold and mildew, cover in holes or divots, and gives the room a neat and clean appearance. To complete the job, our team applied new concrete to the entire basement floor, leaving the basement looking much neater than they found it. John and Starla were very happy with the repairs!

A homeowner in West Fargo, ND had recently discovered his basement was suffering from water damage. He could recognize where the water damage was happening but didn't have enough knowledge as to why it was happening or how to fix it. He decided to contact our American Waterworks team to receive a FREE estimate from one of our experts. We sent over Design Specialist Dylan Johnson to the home to inspect the area and come up with a solution. Dylan discovered that while the homeowner had an existing sump pump, it was not able to keep up with the amount of water that was entering through the foundation. He suggested installing a new SuperSump Plus system, a vital part of any basement water control system, that would be able to consistently pump the water. Our Foreman, Domenic Walz, and his crew arrived at the home for the installation process and began by removing the old sump pump. Next, they replaced it with the SuperSump Plus pump and connected a discharge line from the pump to the outside of the home. They finally added clean gravel and smoothed out concrete surrounding the pump to keep out debris and dirt from entering.
