A Wabasso, MN, homeowner faced a unique basement issue. Each time it rained, the basement fell victim to unwanted standing water. The homeowner had tried several DIY home remedies to fix the water intrusion, but nothing worked. She knew she needed to find a MN basement waterproofing contractor but didn't know where to start. One day she spotted one of our vehicles on the road and read that we offer basement waterproofing. She decided to set up her FREE estimate, and several weeks later, Kevin B, one of our Design Specialists, headed out to the home.
When Kevin arrived at the property, he got right to work assessing the basement. When he finished, he met with the homeowner to deliver his recommendations. First, Kevin began by stating that he wanted to install our Basement to Beautiful wall panels, the superior choice for a dry, energy-efficient basement. These insulated panels provide 24% more energy savings than conventional foam products, creating a warm protective blanket around your basement that will never rot or support mold growth. Next, Kevin wanted to install our WaterGuard. This unique French drain gets installed below the slab of the basement floor, atop the footing of the foundation. It works to catch water coming up through the floor, giving it a channel to flow freely to a proper disposal site. Because the basement lacked a means of disposal, Kevin wanted to use our TripleSafe sump pump, the most reliable sump in our lineup. These powerful pumps provide three levels of protection for your basement and your peace of mind. For normal functioning, the TripleSafe has a powerful cast-iron Zoeller 1/3 horsepower pump set at the lowest level. For times of heavy water intrusion, this machine boasts a more powerful Zoeller 1/2 hr pump set a bit higher in the liner. The homeowner agreed with all of Kevin's recommendations and scheduled the job on the spot.
The day of the project finally rolled around. Our Foreman, Jeromy A, was able to lead his team through the successful installation of 170ft of WaterGuard, 1 TripleSafe, and 49 ft of Basement to Beautiful panels. When they had finished, the homeowner was thrilled to know that his basement waterproofing issues were in the past!
PJ B. of Wabasso, MN had water leaking through the walls of her basement, making her feel nervous about water damages. American Waterworks provided him with prior foundation work, so he decided to go with us again for his basement waterproofing repairs. Our Service Technician, Mitchell Sobotta, sold him the project and answered all the questions that he had regarding the installation. PJ moved forward with the project and scheduled a date for the installation.
Our Foreman, Jesus Covarrubias, and his production team began the repairs by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System, which serves as an underground drain, prevents water clogs, and collects water seepage from basement walls. Next, our crew installed our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier, which prevents mold and humidity build-up, covers any unnecessary holes, and gives the room a neat and clean appearance. Lastly, Jesus and his crew installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump System. Our TripleSafe is the best sump pump we provide for homeowners, it comes with three levels or protection, and it solves all three water problems in one system. To complete the project, our crew covered the open gaps with river rock and applied new concrete over it. PJ was happy with the repairs and had another great experience with our team!
A couple in Morris, MN, gave us a call when they began to notice a crack forming in their foundation wall, causing pooling water to become a problem in their basement. When they called in, we set them up with our FREE estimate, and our Design Specialist, Shane, was out at the property in no time. When he arrived, he did a thorough inspection of the issue and made his recommendations as to how we could best fit the situation. He recommended that we use our GeoLock wall anchors to address the failing wall. He explained that these anchors are the ideal solution as they anchor the problem wall to the hard-packed virgin soil beyond the foundation, keeping the wall stabilized for a long time to come. These anchors can be tightened over time to fit the foundation's needs as it continues to settle. Next, he wanted to use our CleanSpace to address the water entering the basement. He explained to the couple that this barrier works to trap water behind the taro-like material and drain it downwards to our WaterGuard system that lies beneath the concrete floor and drains water to the appropriate place like a sump pump or external line. The couple agreed and work began shortly after. Our Production crew, led by our Foreman, Jeromy, ended up installing 17 of our GeoLock anchors and wrapped the entire basement in our CleanSpace solution. When the work was complete, the couple was happy with the work we had done and were relieved to know their foundation worries were in the past!
Jamie S. in Mountain Lake, MN had water leaking into her basement and her old sump pump was not able to keep up with the amount of water coming in. While looking for a local waterproofing company, she came across American Waterworks’ website and decided to contact us for a FREE estimate.
We sent one of our Design Specialists, Shane Nephew, to her home to inspect her basement and to develop a solution for her. Shane recommended that we install our drainage system under the concrete floor and a new sump pump to transform her basement into a permanently dry space. She agreed, and she liked Shane’s proposal, so she scheduled the installation.
Our production team installed our WaterGuard drainage system along the two walls that had water seeping in. Then, they installed the SuperSump sump pump in the corner of the basement. The drainage system properly drains water to the sump pump and from there, the water is pumped through the discharge line to the outside of the home. Our waterproofing system is backed by a lifetime guarantee, so Jamie feels confident that she chose the right waterproofing solution to protect her home for the long-term.

Our Foreman, Edgar Miranda, and his production crew began the project by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter and forming a trench. In the trench, our crew installed 147 feet of our WaterGuard System, which is designed to collect water seepage from basement walls and serve as an underground drain. Next, our team applied our CleanSpace Wall System, which is a plastic vapor barrier made to prevent mold and humidity build-up and protect the basement from water exposure. To complete the project, Edgar and his team covered the open WaterGuard gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. Sandi's peace of mind was restored and was grateful she found us at her local home show!
