A homeowner in Mankato, MN, noticed their basement walls were leaking towards the bottom of the wall. Worried this was a sign of a larger issue, the homeowner began looking into "leaky basement wall repair near me". The first company to grab their attention was us, American Waterworks, so the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, we sent one of our Design Specialists, Dylan, to the home to take a closer look. Dylan confirmed that water was weeping from the walls. To prevent this issue from worsening, Dylan recommended installing WaterGuard along the basement perimeter. The homeowner agreed, and they worked with Dylan to find the best installation date. Once the installation date arrived, we sent Diego, one of our Foremen, to install the system. First, Diego and his crew made sure the space was ready for installation. Then, the crew installed the line of WaterGuard along the south wall and connected it to the current sump pump system. The crew completed the installation, and the homeowner was given peace of mind knowing their basement was secure. American Waterworks is delighted to provide its homeowners with peace of mind.

Our Foreman, Juan, and his production team started the installation by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a waterway trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard Drainage System, which serves as an underground drain and collects water seepage from basement walls. Next, Juan and his crew installed our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier around the entire wall perimeter. Our CleanSpace is made to prevent mold and humidity and serves as an extra wall protectant while saving money on energy bills. Lastly, our team dug holes outside of the home beyond the foundation and inserted a long, metal rod from the inside foundation to each hole outside of the home. On the ends of the rod in the soil, our team installed an anchor plate, which holds the rod in place in the soil. Inside the basement, our team installed a GeoLock Channel Anchor on each rod to stabilize the wall. The combination of our production crew, the anchor plates, rods, and wall anchors work together to straighten the wall back into its original position. To complete the installation, our crew filled the open floor gaps with pea gravel and river rock and applied new concrete over them.
James and Rachel had a great experience with our team and their peace of mind is restored!
