Our Foreman, Tremaine, and his production team started the installation by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter with a jackhammer, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System, which is made to prevent water clogs and collect water leakage from basement walls. Next, our crew installed our FoamMax Wall Panels around the wall perimeter, which makes the walls look clean, provides comfort to the home, and reduces condensation for moisture protection. To complete the project, Tremaine and his team filled the open gaps with river rock and applied new concrete over them. A Decorah, IA, homeowner was in the process of transforming their unfinished basement into a living space. For the project to be code-compliant, the homeowner learned that they needed to have a means of egress in the basement. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Chad Johnson, to his home to inspect his basement and to develop a solution for him.
