Over time a homeowner in Hendrum, MN, noticed their walls began to separate and bend. Knowing the project could not be held off anymore, the homeowner looked for a company to help the situation. Following a referral from a neighbor, the homeowners signed up for their FREE estimate. American Waterworks sent out our Design Specialist, Kole, to evaluate the situation. Kole recommended that the walls be stabilized with PowerBraces, WaterGuard, and a new sump pump be installed, and CleanSpace be set in place. Knowing the severity of their situation, the homeowners agreed and construction began. Foreman, Dylan, and his crew began the project by excavating the walls and straightening the bowing walls immediately. Due to the ducting on the east and west walls, the crew installed C-Channel anchors. On the north and south walls, the crew put in place nine PowerBraces. The crew then moved their focus to installing the WaterGuards on the perimeter of the basement. Additionally, the crew replaced the old sump pump with the TripleSafe sump pump and tied it to the new water system. Following the waterproofing, the crew installed the CleanSpace Wall System on the newly straightened and stabilized basement walls. The homeowner was ecstatic that their family home had been saved and was safe. American Waterworks is glad to provide another family peace of mind.
A homeowner in Willmar, MN had water seeping into their basement, causing their entire space to be wet. They called American Waterworks and requested a FREE estimate. Our Design Specialist, Chad, went to the homeowner's house, carefully inspected their basement, and proposed our WaterGuard Below Floor Drain, which is an interior drainage system that collects water seepage from basement walls and guides the water to the sump pump, which then gets discharged out of the home.
Our Foreman, Raul B., and his crew broke out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our crew installed our WaterGuard, covered it with river rock to allow water flow, and applied a new layer of concrete over it to ensure the basement was neat and clean. The homeowner gave our crew a 10/10 and said they were very polite and clean!

Terry and Lori in Madelia, MN were aware of the age of their waterproofing system in their home. They were concerned that it needed some attention and that the basement walls might need a little help. Our production crew installed 108 feet of WaterGuard along the perimeter of his basement floor, which guides water to the sump pump. The sump pump then pumps the water from the home through the discharge line to the outside, keeping the basement dry. Then, the crew installed our BrightWall Rigid Basement Wall System. BrightWall is a waterproof, rigid plastic paneling for unfished basement walls. It keeps humidityand water vapor from passing through the foundation walls and into the basement. Any water seepage through the walls is directed into the drainage system, and it transforms the basement into a bright space!

John, a homeowner in Brandon, MN, was concerned about the state of his basement. He noticed that his floors had hairline cracks, and water was also entering the basement in the room's corners. He wanted to address the problem thoroughly and effectively, so he called American Waterworks to claim his FREE estimate. One of our Design Specialists, Shane, went to the property, did a complete evaluation, and gave John his recommendations. Once approved, our team was ready to get to work.
Our Foreman, Juan, and his production crew started the installation by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter and forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System. Our WaterGuard is a patented below-floor drain that rests in a drainage bed on top of the foundation footing. It is our most commonly used drain system because of its resistance to water clogs, easy-to-access service ports, and ability to collect leaking water from basement walls. They also installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump System. The TripleSafe Sump Pump System has three levels of protection to solve all water problems a homeowner may experience. Along with the TripleSafe Sump Pump, there is a battery backup that helps in cases where power is lost in a home. The battery will keep the pumps draining any excess water build-up. To complete the WaterGuard project, Juan and his team covered the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete.
The team then proceeded to install the CleanSpace wall System around the perimeter of the basement. Our CleanSpace Wall System is attached to the walls with plastic fasteners, so it never falls. It also prevents humidity from invading the walls and gives the basement a clean and bright appearance, with a 25-year warranty.
John was delighted with the outcome and glad he decided to work with American Waterworks.
Having a wet or damp basement can create more than just a headache. Problems like these can cause larger problems like mold, mildew, rot, structural damage, and health problems. A resident of Thompson, ND was seeing similar problems like this, so he got in contact with American Waterworks after doing some research. He got a FREE estimate scheduled with our Design Specialist, Richie Noreen. Richie went to the resident's home, inspected the basement, and determined a solution that would work for them and their needs. He proposed our WaterGuard Drainage System and a feed line to the sump pump. The homeowner was confident in the proposal after getting their questions answered, so they followed through with the project.
Our Foreman, Cameron Pjrakonekham, and his production team started the installation by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGaurd Below Floor Drain, which prevents water clogs, collects water leakage from basement walls, and serves as an underground drain. Next, our team formed a feed line from one side of the WaterGuard to the sump pump. The purpose of a feed line is to transport water from high influx areas to the sump pump. The homeowner was happy with the work that was completed!
