Basement Waterproofing Before & After Photos

A Hayfield, MN,  homeowner was in the process of upgrading his basement when he had the idea to add a bedroom to the space. He was worried that this bedroom wouldn't be up to code because of the improper means of egress, so he decided to find a contractor who specialized in this area. He had previous work foundation work done by American Waterworks, and decided to give us a call for another FREE estimate, and several weeks later, our Design Specialists were scheduled to stop at the home. 

When our Design Specialist arrived, he launched right into his inspection, meeting with the customer when he had finished. Water was leaking into the Pine River Methodist Church causing water moisture, flooding hazards, and a funky smell. They called American Waterworks and scheduled a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Chad Johnson. Chad went to the church, inspected the problems, and came up with a solution that worked for management and their budget. Management was confident in Chad's proposal and presentation, so they signed the contract, wrote out a deposit check, and got the installation project on the schedule. 

Our Foreman, Ryan Loe, and his production team began the repairs by taking back the carpet, and breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard Drainage System, which is made to prevent water and mud clogs, collect water seepage from basement walls, and serve as an underground drain. Next, our team installed our CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier System around the half-wall perimeter. Our CleanSpace is made to prevent mold and humidity, act as an extra wall protectant, and guide water into the WaterGuard System. Lastly, Ryan and his crew installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump System in the corner. Our TripleSafe is the best sump pump we provide for homeowners, it solves all three water problems in one system, and it provides three layers of protection. To complete the installation, our crew covered and filled the open gaps with river rock and applied new concrete over it. Our Foreman, Gabriel, and his crew began the process by excavating around the already in-place window. Next, they installed the RockWell and secured it in place. Finally, they added a cover to keep leaves and debris out while allowing natural sunlight into the space. Once the job was done our customer was thrilled to know they could go back to using their basement without worries of it not being up to code!

Next, they installed our recommended TripleSafe sump pump, spray foam insulation in the rim joists, and Foamax insulated panels on the walls. They completed the project with the installation of our SaniDry XP dehumidifier to take care of any humidity. The combination of these waterproofing products ensure Nancy’s basement will stay healthy, clean, and dry!
