Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

A local church in Emerado, ND, was completing annual inspections when they discovered their foundation was struggling. Worried this could cause major, long-term damage, the homeowner searched for professional assistance. During their search, the homeowner came across the best foundation repair company in North Dakota, American Waterworks. The homeowner took a closer look at the projects we have serviced and knew we were the company for their job. After signing up for their FREE estimate, we sent one of our Design Specialists, Ian, to complete the project. Ian arrived at the church and began his detailed inspection. Once he completed the inspection, Ian found several issues regarding the foundation and crawl space. Ian recommended permanently stabilizing the foundation and fully encapsulating the crawl space. Knowing these fixes were necessary, the church agreed with Ians' suggestions. Once they were approved by the office, the plans were sent to our Foreman, Kingsley, and his crew. After they received the stamp of approval, the crew traveled to the home and began the project. Kingsley and his crew started by cleaning out all the debris from the crawl space. Once the debris was cleared, the crew installed 36 SmartJacks throughout the crawl space. Next, the crew put seven GeoLock Wall Anchors into place. The crew shifted their focus to encapsulating the crawl space. First, the crew began by installing Draintile around the perimeter and interior foundation. Then, the crew installed the TripleSafe Sump Pump in the western corner of the crawl space. Next, the crew placed Drainage Matting on the floor and installed CleanSpace over top. Additionally, CleanSpace was installed on several columns and obstructions throughout the crawl space. Once the CleanSpace was installed, the crew installed Foamax on the perimeter walls and over the openings in the foundation. The crew successfully installed all the products throughout the crawl space, so they cleaned up their materials and left the home. The church was relieved to know their foundation was permanently stabilized and the crawl space was properly encapsulated. American Waterworks is happy to provide its customers peace of mind. 

Allen in Madelia, MN had pests entering is home through his dirt crawl space. He also was noticing his floor sagging and high levels of humidity coming from that space. We sent a Design Specialist to his home to inspect his crawl space and provide him with a personalized solution. Our Specialist recommended having our CleanSpace vapor barrier, spray foam rim joist insulation and SmartJacks installed. Allen agreed that our solution was the best fit for his needs, so he scheduled the installation.

Our production crew removed the debris from his crawl space and then installed the SmartJacks to support the floor beams and keep the floor above sturdy. Then, they installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier system on the dirt floor and the sides of the crawl space. This helps to keep pests and moisture out, which reduces humidity. Lastly, they sprayed our spray foam insulation in the rim joists of the crawl space to completely seal off the space and prevent any pests or water from entering. Larry, a homeowner in Langdon, ND, was growing more concerned about his wet crawl space. First, under the direction of one of our Fargo Foremen the team removed the insulation currently in the crawlspace. Then, after cleaning the space, they went ahead with installing Foamax insulated wall panels and spray foam around the rim joists. The Foamax provides comfort and energy bill savings, while making the walls look clean and bright. The spray foam seals and waterproofs the homeowner's crawl space. The crew proceeded to use CleanSpace to encapsulate the crawlspace to prevent moisture and mold from affecting the rest of the foundation. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic barrier that gets installed right onto the problem walls and works to catch water entering the space through cracks and holes in the wall. This also reduces the home's chances of being exposed to radon. Next the crew used drainage matting and CleanSpace to encapsulate the entire space.

They also installed our Smart Sump where the existing sump was, and created a discharge line out the south end of the home.  The SmartSump™ comes equipped with a cast-iron Zoeller® primary pump with the option of adding an UltraSump® Battery Backup Sump Pump. This sump pump is designed to fit with the CleanSpace® liner and has a sump alarm to ensure you always are aware of any water in your crawl space.

A homeowner from Halstad, MN, was worried about her crawl space. Over the years, her and her family's allergies had worsened, leading her to believe there were airborne allergens trapped in her home. She suspected the home's crawl space was to blame, so she began to look for crawl space repair near Halstad, MN, and quickly found American Waterworks. Ian began by saying that the crawl space needed some serious attention, so he recommended several of our products to fix the moisture issue. First, Ian recommended our CleanSpace and drainage matting combo, explaining that the CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof tarp-like material that gets installed directly on the crawl space walls, functioning to collect any moisture entering through the foundation downward and keeping it out of the space. The drainage matting is laid down on the floor of the space before the CleanSpace is applied, giving the water collected by the CleanSpace a channel to flow freely to a drain or sump system.
