A New Ulm, MN, homeowner was enjoying a quiet morning at home when he walked across his main level floor and noticed an area that appeared to be sagging lower than the rest. She was uneasy about what this could mean for the home's structural integrity, and decided to look into Minnesota foundation contractors. When she found our website, she signed up for her FREE estimate, and several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Dylan W, headed out to the home.
When Dylan arrived at the home, he was directed down to the crawl space, where he would spend much of his inspection. When Dylan finished, he circled back with the homeowners to deliver his findings. Dylan explained that the crawl space could benefit from extra support, which he recommended to be our SmartJack system. The SmartJack crawl space stabilizer is an adjustable supplemental support system used for sagging crawl spaces. It's unique in that it's made with strong, corrosion-resistant, galvanized steel. Because this system will not develop results, it will remain adjustable for years should further adjustments be needed down the road. The homeowner loved the idea of having a system that could be adjusted down the road and decided to schedule the project.
On the day of the installation, our team, led by their Foreman, Francisco E, was able to effortlessly install 2 of our SmartJacks. Now, our customers has a renewed sense of peace in her largest investment!

During the inspection, he confirmed signs of mold growth and high humidity levels in the crawl space. To tackle this issue, Jesse recommended encapsulating the space using CleanSpace, our vapor barrier, Foamax, our foam insulation panel, SmartDrain, which drains water away to a drywell beneath the CleanSpace liner, and Aprilaire, our strong dehumidifier. The homeowner happily agreed to the recommendations and decided to move forward with the project.

An Alexandria, MN, homeowner was facing uneven floors in the room above her crawl space. Worried that this might indicate some type of structural issue below, the homeowner began to look for failing foundation contractors in his area. Amid his search, he decided to head to the Alexandria Home & Garden Show in hopes of finding answers to his questions, which is where he met our Design Specialist, Ryan P. The homeowner stopped at our booth and asked Ryan about his issue. Ryan wanted to see the issue first-hand so the two scheduled a FREE inspection and estimate for a few weeks out. On the day of the appointment, Ryan completed his comprehensive inspection and then met with the homeowner to go over next steps. Ryan started off by verifying that failing support beams in the crawl space were to blame for the uneven floors above. Ryan went on to say that the beams were weakened due to high humidity in the space causing the wood to warp and rot. He explained further that the crawl space was taking on unwanted water that was making the space unhealthy. To address the water entering the basement Ryan wanted to use our CleanSpace and Drainage Matting combo. He ellaborated, saying that the Drainge Matting would be laid down on the floor of the crawl space. It's raised dimples gave water entering the space a channel to flow freely to a perimeter drain or sump pump. He went on to say that the CleanSpace would be applied on top of the drainage matting, along the walls, and beams of the basement. This 100% waterproof plastic vapor barrier works to keep unwanted water out of the space, creating a healthier and more comfortable environment. To address the failing support beams, Ryan recommended our SmartJack support system, an adjustable supplemental support system used for sagging crawl spaces. The homeowner was impressed with Ryan's recommendations, and thankful for his findings, so she decided to schedule her project on the spot.
Two months later our Foreman, Jesus C, and his crew were in the crawl space preparing for the installation. After a long day, our team had successfully installed 3 SmartJacks, 615 sqft of CleanSpace, and another 375 sqft of Drainage Matting. Now our customer can enjoy his home without uneven floors or water intrusion worries!

In less than a week, our Design Specialist, Ryan P., arrived at the home for the inspection, where he discovered crawl space instability. The moisture levels in the crawl space have been higher than normal, causing the space to become humid. After reporting his findings to the homeowner, Ryan provided an effective solution by installing the SmartJack System, which stabilized the beams, lifting the floors toward their original elevation and reducing unwanted bounce. Alongside SmartJack, Ryan also recommended CleanSpace for encapsulation, protecting the crawl space from moisture.
