A homeowner in Grand Forks, ND, knew it was time to check their crawl space. Once they looked a little closer, they noticed their crawl space was in tough shape. The homeowners knew this was going to be a large project, so they began looking for a professional near them. After looking through several companies, the homeowner decided to work with us, American Waterworks. Once the estimate was set, we sent one of our Design Specialists to the home to take a closer look. The Design Specialist arrived and began their thorough investigation of the crawl space. The Design Specialist recommended fully encapsulating the crawl space and the homeowner agreed. Next, the Design Specialist sent the plans to our office to have them approved. Once the plans were approved and scheduled, they were assigned to our Foreman, Franklin, and his crew. Franklin and his crew traveled to Grand Forks and began the installation. First, they started making sure the space was cleared. Next, the crew laid Drainage Matting on the crawl space floor. Once the Drainage Matting was secured, the crew attached CleanSpace to the crawl space walls and floor. Then, the crew attached Foamax to the crawl space walls. Franklin and his crew completed the encapsulation, so they cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was delighted with the excellent work completed by the crew. A customer from Audubon, MN got in contact with us when he began to notice water entering his crawl space, creating musty odors and rotting wood. He was afraid that if left the condition untouched, it might compromise the structural integrity of the space. When he called our Appointment Center, we set him up with our FREE estimate, entitling him to a thorough inspection of the issue. Once the appointment was scheduled, our Design Specialist, Kole, headed out to the property to do a walkthrough. Once completed, Kole was able to make recommendations about how to fix the issue. He recommended the use of our CleanSpace vapor barrier. He explained that, along with our Drainage Matting, these two would work together to trap and drain the unwanted water from the space to the appropriate disposal site. Our Production crew, led by our Foreman, Arturo, ended up wrapping the crawl space in 463 sqft of CleanSpace, and installing 346 sqft of our drainage matting. They ended the job by sealing up any remaining cracks and holes with our spray foam, a hardening foam that works to block water intrusion. Once the job was done, our customer was happy to know that unwanted water intrusion was a worry of the past!
