Basement Waterproofing Before & After Photos

Sue P. of De Soto, WI had severe water seepage in her basement, so she gave American Waterworks a call to see what we could do to help her. We sent out our Design Specialist, Eric Fox, for a Free Estimate to inspect the problem and come up with a solution. After a thorough and detailed diagnosis, Sue was content with Eric's proposal, so she went ahead and got an installation date scheduled. 

Our foreman, Crescencio Pena, and his production team began the installation by breaking out the concrete around the perimeter of the basement. Next, they applied 182 feet of our CleanSpace Wall System around the basement wall perimeter. Our CleanSpace acts as a wall vapor barrier and prevents mold or humidity from invading the concrete walls. Then, our team applied 182 feet of stone thin concrete around the tops of the CleanSpace to make sure it was extra secure. Then, Crescencio and his crew installed 182 feet of WaterGuard in the broken-out concrete. Our WaterGuard acts as a drainage system; it prevents water clogs and collects the water waste from beneath the CleanSpace. To complete the basement, Crescencio and his team filled the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. Sue was very pleased with the project, and was thankful we were able to help her save the life of her home!

Martin D. in Lansing, IA has a two-story home with a walk-in basement built into a steep hillside. His home was built right next to the Mississippi River. Our Foreman, Hugo Sanchez, and his crew installed our WaterGuard drainage system around the perimeter of the basement floor, a TripleSafe sump pump in the corner, and a SaniDry dehumidifier, which keeps the humidity in the basement under control. The drainage system guides water to the sump pump, and from there the water is expelled from the home through the discharge line. Martin is happy with the outcome and has been able to enjoy a dry, healthier basement since the installation!

Bob W. of Luana, IA had water leaking through the floor of his basement, causing him to worry about damage to property and his downstairs bathroom. He got in contact with our office staff and scheduled a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist. Our Design Specialist went to his home, carefully inspected his water leaks, and drew up a solution that worked for him and his home repair needs. Our Foreman and his production team began the project by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System, which prevents water clogs, serves as an underground drain, and collects water leakage from basement walls. Next, our team broke out half of the wall around the entire basement wall perimeter and installed our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier, which prevents the build-up of mold and mildew, covers any holes or divots, and serves as a protective blanket, while also saving money on energy bills. To complete the project, our team filled the open floor gaps with river rock and applied new concrete over them. Paul W. is the owner of this newly built home in Chaseburg, WI. During the construction, the contractor realized that Paul needed to have a waterproofing system installed because of the amount of water that was entering the home through the basement. Our Foreman, Juan Pena, and his crew installed a full perimeter of our WaterGuard drainage system, which led to the TripleSafe sump pump. Once the water drains to the sump pump, it is then pumped through the discharge line and expelled from the home. They also installed a perimeter of our CleanSpace vapor barrier to reduce moisture and humidity. CleanSpace also makes the basement a more energy efficient space. After we finished the installation of our waterproofing system, the construction team poured concrete and continued the development of the home.

Our Foreman, Juan Pena, and his production team started the installation by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor to create a trench for the WaterGuard. After installing the SuperSump sump pump and laying 182 feet of the WaterGuard, they replaced the concrete and installed the Foamax wall panels. Foamax is an advanced polyisocyanurate foam insulation panel designed to prevent condensation and make the basement a more comfortable space. Water is now properly expelled from the home and the walls have been permanently stabilized. Her basement is now a stable, dry and clean space.
