A homeowner from Northfield, MN, was in the process of renovating his home for eventual resale. A huge portion of the work to be completed was replacing old and outdated egress windows to meet new building code requirements for emergency egress. The homeowner had no idea who to contact for this project. Through his internet searches, he found our website. He was impressed with our Rockwell egress well, and decided to schedule his FREE estimate. Several weeks later, Tony B, one of our Design Specialists, headed out to the home.
Tony completed his inspection and then met with the homeowner to deliver his recommendation, our RockWell window well. RockWell offers an attractive alternative to ugly window wells while providing a safe, code-compliant basement egress. Click the arrows below to learn more about the features and benefits of our egress window wells. RockWell window wells are a one-piece, rigid construction that will not collapse from backfill or allow water to leak through the well walls. They’re UV stable, rust, and rot-proof, and stand up to extreme temperatures. Our egress window wells meet the IRC Egress Code Requirements, providing you and your family with a direct escape from any of the inhabited rooms in your basement. RockWell’s egress window wells feature durable, built-in steps that make it easy for your family to escape from your basement in the event of an emergency. We also offer safety ladders for our Premier series window wells. A polycarbonate safety cover keeps leaves and debris out while allowing natural sunlight and fresh outside air to enter your basement. While they are not intended for continual foot traffic, the 10mm fluted polycarbonate cover will hold up to 500 lbs. of weight and prevent family members from accidentally falling into the window well. The homeowner liked the sound of new and updated means of egress, and scheduled the job on the spot.
On the day of the project, our Foreman, Jose C, led his team through the successful replacement of the two old window wells. Now our customer can confidently resell his home knowing that his home is up to code!
Denise J. of Fort Ripley, MN had water leaking from her foundation walls into her basement, making her worry about stained walls, water damage, and flooding hazards. She got in touch with our office staff and scheduled a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Chad Johnson. Chad went to her home to carefully inspect the walls and come up with a solution that fit her home repair needs and budget. Denise was confident in Chad's proposal and was content with the products and their warranties, so she went ahead with the project.
Our Foreman, Raul Barroso, and his production team began the project by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard Drainage System, which is the most common waterproofing repair product we provide for homeowners. It serves as an underground drain in connection with the sump pump, it prevents water and mud clogs, and it collects water seepage from basement walls. Next, our team installed our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier around the wall perimeter. Our CleanSpace is made to prevent mold build-up, humidity growth, and guide water into the WaterGuard. To complete the project, Raul and his team filled the open gaps with river rock and applied new concrete over it. Denise was happy with the work that was done and was impressed by the transformation from start to finish!

Next, our crew installed 90 feet our DryTrak Drain Pipe System around the floor perimeter and over the holes. Our DryTrak is made to collect and channel water to the sealed sump pump or basement drain. Next, our crew applied 68 feet of our CleanSpace Halfwall around the wall perimeter to prevent mold and humidity and forces water seepage to fall into the DryTrak. Penny was happy with the outcome and was grateful we were able to help serve her and her home repair needs!
