Larry, from Odessa, MN, was looking for solutions for his vacation home's basement. The basement was experiencing water intrusion during rainy days, so he decided to call American Waterworks for a FREE estimate. Shortly after the appointment was scheduled, our Design Specialist, Shane, headed out to the property.
Following a thorough inspection, Shane recommended that Larry invest in our WaterGuard system. This particular system is typically used in basements and is the premier choice for basement waterproofing. It is installed below the floor but rests atop the foundation, keeping it out of the "mud zone" and making it harder to clog.
Ron agreed, and our crew got to work.
Our Foreman, Tremaine, and his crew began implementing our WaterGuard System, a patented below-floor drain that rests in a drainage bed on top of the foundation footing. It is our most commonly used drain system because of its resistance to water clogs, easy-to-access service ports, and can collect leaking water from basement walls. The team then covered the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete.
The drainage system now properly guides water to the sump pump, which pushes it through the discharge line and expels it from the home.
After all was said and done, Larry was very glad he decided to use American Waterworks and had his peace of mind restored.
A homeowner in Battle Lake, MN had water leaking from their walls, causing them to worry about water damage and flooding hazards. When it comes to block foundation walls, the open spaces in each block may fill with water, which then leaks through the walls. By eliminating that, our crew broke out the bottom of the wall perimeter by a few inches, then drilled a weep hole into each block. Next, our team installed our DryTrak Drain Pipe System, which our crew did not have to use a jackhammer for. In this case, our team just applied it over the floor perimeter., which prevented extra labor and exposure to dust. The water then was able to pour through the holes and directly into the drain pipe.
The homeowner was happy with the repairs and was grateful we were able to help them with their basement waterproofing needs!
A homeowner was in their basement when they discovered water damage and immediately panicked. Knowing the winter months were approaching, the homeowners wanted to get ahead of any further damage. While comparing different basement waterproofing services, the homeowner determined American Waterworks was the best fit. The homeowner signed up for their FREE estimate with Design Specialist, Ian, and the waterproofing began. Ian suggested that WaterGuard be installed around the perimeter of the leaking room, then CleanSpace be placed on the walls, and finally, a new sump pump be installed. After presenting the plan, the homeowners agreed and the project began. Before the job, the homeowner was asked to remove the shelves around the construction area. Our crew drove out to the property and started by creating channels around the full perimeter of the home. Next, the crew removed the old sump pump system and installed the SuperSump+ in the home. Then the crew installed the CleanSpace System on top of the exposed wall. The crew completed the full waterproofing of the basement. The homeowner was thankful their basement was saved and American Waterwork was pleased to help another customer.
A homeowner in Graceville, MN was tired of dealing with her worn down and old basement space. Over the years, the water damage had increased, and she decided it was finally time to stop the problem before something more serious happened to the home. She went online to find a solution and found the American Waterworks website where she scheduled a FREE no-obligation estimate with one of our experts. We sent over Design Specialist Kevin Beseman to the home where he inspected the basement space and talked with the homeowner about her expectations. The homeowner explained that she not only wanted the water intake to stop, but for the basement to look cleaner and not as dark or damp. Kevin assured her that he had the perfect solution to achieve both of her wants. The homeowner agreed to the plans and the installation day was scheduled. When our Foreman, Kiko Pena, and his crew arrived at the site, they installed a new SuperSump Plus pump and our CleanSpace basement wall vapor barrier. With these new products, the basement was able to take the incoming water and direct it safely outside of the home. The homeowner was pleased with the water-free space and how bright the basement looked.

Joe and Christina M. of Park Rapids, MN had water leaking through the foundation walls of their basement, making them feel nervous about flooding, water moisture, and health problems. They saw American Waterworks online so they called our office staff and scheduled a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Chad Johnson. Chad went to their home to carefully inspect their problems and come up with a solution. Joe and Christina were confident in Chad's proposal and were happy with our products and their warranties, so they went ahead with the project and scheduled an installation date.
Our Foreman, Corey Tollefson, and his production team began the project by breaking out the concrete perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard Drainage System, which serves as an underground drain that connects to the sump pump. Our WaterGuard is one of the most common waterproofing products because of its easy-to-access service ports, its resistance to clogs, and its ability to collect water seepage from basement walls. Next, our team installed our CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier System, which is similar to an extra wall protectant. Our CleanSpace is pliable enough to cover uneven surfaces and irregular walls, including areas with divots or rock. It also prevents any mold and humidity and provides the basement with a neat and clean appearance. Joe and Christina were amazed by the transformation, and had a great experience from start to finish!
